Sourcing shelves for kitchen cupboards

The previous owners have removed some of the shelves that were fitted in a tall kitchen cupboard. The shelf supports are there. Just no shelves anywhere in the house.
I'm after 3-4 shelves to replace the ones missing but no idea where to go. The shelves are cream coloured to match the units.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Measure them and go to places like Homebase, Howdens and a small kitchen shop, It is only covered chipboard so should not be very much.0

Have you recently purchased the house from the previous owners?
Were you expecting the shelves to be left? That would be normal.
You may have a case against them although it may be more trouble than it is worth pursuing it.0 -

Maybe they just used the cupboards for brooms and mops? I don't even think persuing them is worth the time factor or the wasted thought.
OP, cream may be hard to find. Most high street and trade retailers sell white or oak coloured carcasses. Perhaps DIY kitchens online do a cream pack of shelves?
Maybe oak shelves would look nicer against cream than white, in the worst case scenario.
When I've used cupboards for taller items, I've just laid the shelves on the floor of the cabinet. It actually just looks like the floor of the cabinet and there's no better place to put them.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

When we wanted additional shelves in our bathroom cabinets for small bits and pieces I bought a matching coloured shelving panel from one of the sheds, cut it to size and fitted small shelves myself.0

If you want cream but can only get white, then head for the sticky backed plastic rolls on ebay?0

We bought the house almost two years ago now. There were shelves in all of the kitchen cupboards apart from one. This was a tall one and I reckon they stored mops, vacuum cleaner or ironing board in there.Head_The_Ball wrote: »Naughty!!! Have you recently purchased the house from the previous owners? I'm not going to even bother pursuing. We just feel a couple of shelves in there would help with storage.Doozergirl wrote: »Maybe they just used the cupboards for brooms and mops? I don't even think persuing them is worth the time factor or the wasted thought.
That's what I'm encountering - cream seems to be a hard colour to find. I know the kitchen was done at some point in the last eight years (that's how long the previous owners lived and they did extension work during that time).Doozergirl wrote: »OP, cream may be hard to find. If I can only get white, I'll just use that. It's only until we can revamp the kitchen in the next couple of years so not imperative for it to be cream but it would be nice to match.0 -
I bought MDF from B&Q and they cut to size for my shelves."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Or maybe the owners got rid of the shelves years ago...
OP, you could get some MFC cut to size at your nearest B&Q, should do the job. Doubt you'd find cream but as they are inside the cupboard does it really matter?0 -
Fair enough. I read your OP as you having just bought the house and presumed that the sellers had been a bit cheeky.d0nkeyk0ng wrote: »We bought the house almost two years ago now. Taking items that are included as fixtures and fittings and should be left for the buyer is not uncommon in house sales.
Have a look behind the floor plinths in the kitchen. Some people store unused shelves there. Look in any other possible storage places too such as under the bath if you have easy access.
A long shot but you might get lucky.0
