I would expect them to replace. Why should you accept a repair for damage caused by their careless installers?
JL store refused when I requested a refund, I put a comment on their facebook page and head office responded and offered me a full refund."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

The seller was spot on! We were users of AEG of decades, truly great stuff and best of the best there was.. but Not anymore! We recently bought a ''nice'' AEG washer/dryer and honestly it was total garbage -Like total total garbage and not AEG quality+ it wasnt made in germany nor even by AEG, but just re-branded for AEG.
We actually ended up buying John lewis stuff as it was the same proper-AEG stuff made in germany, and again it's brilliant and as you would expect from old AEG quality!
So yes.. Buy the JL stuff as they are actually made by AEG.0 -
Yes I've explained what happened to the customer services chap and am waiting to hear back from the relevant person, I just wanted to hear peoples views on what to expect. It also means another afternoon off work, to receive the new machine plus seeing the person that comes to look at the damage
TBH I'm more peed off that they were going to leave me with a faulty machine!0 -
I wonder if it was those careless fitters who damaged the leg?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Spoke with a very helpful lady who says I can have someone come out to repair or compensation towards a new worktop so have to price it up and get back to her.0
