Good morning everyone,
Lovely morning here. No clouds in the sky and there's a soft fade from pink to blue, very cold though.
Played footie last night which was followed by an early night. Up and at it this morning and I've been to the gym. Tonight I've got dinner with my gran which will be nice.
Thinking of all the poorlies and those of you going through tough times with family and friends. I hope today is a good 'un.0 -
Morning All
Brr, it's cold this morning but lovely and bright. Will put a wash on when I've had a shower, a dust and hoover are on the cards too.
Had a lovely day yesterday with DD, went for lunch after her eye test then took her to the supermarket for some heavy stuff.
Your poor hens tru, have you got a head torch? Might be easier.
Thinking of you Lainey, glad you managed a run Coxy.
Hope you have a good day, take care. XX0 -
Good morning,
Guess what, LAST DAY!!! In a few hours, God willing, I will be home and not a second too soon!
I still feel rather off colour but so far *touch wood* my breathing has been ok, after all the scares of these last few days and having to use an asthma pump.
The hotel check out is at 12 noon and the Eurostar at 4:something pm so by the time we check out, get a bit of lunch and take ourselves to the station it will be time to travel.
What a dreadful, crying shame of a holiday this has been. When I think of the expense I want to scream, travelling during Christmas time, never again! Quite honestly, I have had it with travelling altogether for a while. Home, put feet up, clear clutter, lose weight and work on my health are my priorities now.
Still thinking of all of you and keeping you in my prayers. Next you hear from me it will be from the UK, YIPPEE!!!
xxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Morning all.
Lovely bright day here but frosty overnight.
My cold seems to have worsened so I've just cancelled a couple of things I had booked for tomorrow and have taken some paracetamol. Still plan to go out for a walk later as it will clear my head a bit.
Need to buy some mince as I plan to make a chilli for tonight and then save half of it for Saturday. Tomorrow we were going to have fish and chips from the shop as a quick meal so we'll still go ahead with that. I'm still having trouble remembering which day is which and almost put Friday then, instead of Saturday!
Bye for now x0 -
Hi Ya Chums brr its a cold one today and the frost is till sitting on the cars outside even though the sun is shining.General pottering around day for me today, just catching up on a few small jobs that need doing No need for any shopping which is good for my purse .I must remember to refill my windscreen wash as I think its just about empty at the moment and its surprising the amount of muck that gets kicked up from the road
Have a good day chums what ever you are doing and <<hugs >> to those who need one

Morning all,
Very cold one here today, Jack Frost gave us a visit over night. Sat at my desk with the heater aimed at my feet and over loading on tea.
So glad it is a short week, I'm feeling tired and could do with the weekend now.
DD enjoyed her first day back at school yesterday but really struggled to get up this morning so early to bed for us both tonight, need to play catch up.
I haven't thought about tea this evening, still plenty in the fridge to use. Might just stick some jackets in and serve with ham and veggies.
Gonna go back and read yesterdays thread.

It's a beautiful day here, if a tad chilly, but I shall go out for a walk in a little while.
I spent all of £16 in Lidl yesterday and hopefully will only need a bit of bread and maybe some bananas to top up. That sum included 4 tins of baked beans and 4 of tomatoes to replenish my dwindling stores.
DH finished the prep work for the bottom half of the living room last night so we can paint it tonight. Then we'll move the furniture down and seal that half off while he does the top half. That includes putting new light fittings in (he qualified as an electronic engineer) so there will be a bit more mess from that. Hopefully it will be all finished by Sunday night.
I spoke to DD last night but they still haven't managed to book flights back from India. Her DH is hoping to blag first class after flying out there that way. I wouldn't put it past him, he's got a silver tongue, although he does sometimes go a little bit far and leaves me and DD cringing.
On the agenda today is making a new table runner for the coffee table, I'm happy with the way it's turning out at the moment.0 -
Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Aldi and the library this morning.
OH is having his siesta. I had a call from our holiday company, the place we had booked has cancelled all their bookings so they have asked us to choose somewhere else at no extra cost. Need to wait for OH to get up before I ring them back.
Its blooming cold, central heating went off just before lunch, think I am going to have to put it on again, my feet are like blocks of ice, I have two pairs of socks on, one thermal and they are still cold.
Mince and tatties for supper tonight, was going to do spag bol, but there were some veggies that needed used up, so changed the menu.
Cupboards and freezer are full, I bought some frozen veg as a stand by incase we do get heavy snow, they will get eaten up anyway.
Lainey, I hope your Mum stays comfortable and her end is peaceful.0 -
Afternoon everyone,
Been to the GPs this morning for blood tests they want to check my iron levels.
It was so cold out there the wind was bitter.
I tried a small bowl of soup for lunch and ate about a third of it.So thats something.
We have been keeping the heating on but low all day.
I am feeling the cold a lot and I do not know if it is because I have lost so much weight.
I have thermal socks and slippers on and my feet are still cold.
Lainey my thoughts are with you and your mum.0 -
I agree - Tru, if Mr Tru can treat himself to a new tv, I think you're entitled to a head torch! It'll make walking Scampi in the dark easier, too.camelot1001 wrote: »Your poor hens tru, have you got a head torch? Might be easier.
Sending "patient chook" vibes to your girls, having to be confined for all that extra time. Still, best to keep them safe, eh?
Uh, oh, I hear strange clattering coming from the kitchen - best go see what Mr LW is up to in there.....If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
