Claiming back cost of air flight from credit card provider

Hi there - Would anyone know whether I could claim an air flight delay from my credit card. I was delayed last Friday at Gatwick due to fog and was six hours late arriving at my destination. As the delay was due to weather I understand I cannot claim it from the carrier or my travel insurance. The all-in flight cost…

I see that I've got this totally round the wrong way through rushing. Thanks all for your advice. I'll read through the small print on my insurance.
