  • Morning all,
Another chilly day here. Currently at work but i am finishing early.
Off to visit my grand parents for lunch after. Will make them soup and a sandwich, to make sure they have something warm. Need to pop to Morrisons and pick up a few bits to get them by. They getting to the age where they are struggling so all hands to help,it is difficult as we all work. Will see if there any jobs they needs doing too.
DD went back to school today, only a slight struggle to get up and dressed so early. She seemed happy to be back with her friends tho.
Tea tonight will be sausage casserole and mash with broccoli, craving comfort foods with all this cold.

    Hugs to all.
Keep safe and stay warm xx

    Hi again :hello:

I feel embarrassed now for making a fuss when there is so much more going on on this thread :o:o:o:o. I have decided not to get upset about it and just get on with things. I will not let it set me back and have actually made plans to go out with my hubby tomorrow for lunch :). This is going to be the year I beat my anxieties about going out.
And yes, JackieO, I believe there was a reason it happened too.

Lainey, I just want to give you a big hug, you have come so far and worried so much. I just pray your lovely mum can slip away without pain, secure in the knowledge of your love for her.

Judi, lovely news about your new grandchild, I bet July can't come fast enough x

snoozer, your Dh made me laugh with his Dexter comment :rotfl:

tiredmum, how exciting about Dolly, hope she recovers quickly from her op so she can come to you soon x

Coxy, I can only send you virtual hugs and actual prayers. I hope you find the strength to support your sister and yourself through this sad time x

Well, my friend has been and gone and now I have to ring my other friend who is going through a very hard time as her husband is being tested for dementia. She is bipolar and very much relied on him to keep her safe during her manic phases. It is going to be very difficult for the whole family to find new ways of coping.

Hope you are all managing to stay safe and warm, take care xx
  • Afternoon (((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Went to the coffee morning at the chapel, OH started to fall asleep, the residual effect of yesterdays sedation, so I walk him home and he is in bed. He is such a pain in the neck at times.

Lots of chat and discussions, a couple of non regulars popped in so that was nice. We both managed to leave cash, so next time will be a freeby for us............

OH is in bed sleeping it off. I am about to inhabit the settee and read.
  • Afternoon all
    Hugs to Lainey & Coxy.
Didn't get chance to post this morning, too much to do before I set off.
Just got in from work, WM started, DW to be emptied and then go back to collect m L&M.
    Have a good afternoon everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

DGS Ben bless him humped my drop leaf table into my car and then from my car back into my kitchen so life is slowly getting back to normal for me ,plus he fitted my sound bar for my TV up for me so I shan't need the sub titles anymore :):)
2 delicious litres of Leek and tattie soup made and in the fridge so lunches all done and dusted until Saturday.
Just having a gentle potter around at the moment I watched Dawn French's 30 million minutes on my TiVo box ,what a great show and a very talented lady who can make you laugh one minute and almost reduced you to tears the next If you can get it on catch-up its well worth watching, got to be one of the best programmes on TV over the holiday.
Right coffee has brewed so all's right in my world at the moment
    Cheers chums
    JackieO xx

    Hi everyone
Busy day back at work for me today. It was hard getting up in the dark this morning...I went to bed early last night but couldn't get to sleep as the cat decided to start leaping on and off the wardrobe....onto my bed! He's had 2 weeks to keep me awake but had to do it when I really wanted to be asleep early.
Straight to my mum and dads after work, then home, did a bit ironing while the tea was cooking. Just going to wash up and then have a bath, Will skype eldest DD in Amsterdam whilst I'm in there,,,,multi-tasking!

Oh no, those poor chickens will be going stir crazy! :(
Thanks for taking the trouble to post this, Gigervamp.

Mr LW has bought a new DVD player - to replace the old (2nd hand) one that has just turned up it's toes. Only thing is, getting the old one out and putting the new one in required someone with long arms, small hands, and the ability to work with either right or left handed - ie Muggins. It was a real faff, as there's a tonne of wiring behind the tv cupboard, but it was either that or actually pull my desk AND the tv cupboard out from the wall, which would have been a much longer and more difficult job.
Anyways, it's in place now, and - bonus - IT WORKS!! :T

    Hello all,

A quick one as always when skimping on charge! Out and about in Paris, morning wonderful, at the Hammam, sadly I have lost my new (blimmin' expensive) jar of black soap with Argan oil which I had bought myself as a treat. DH wanted to buy me another one but I said no, it's only an object, if it has gone there's a reason.

Lunch at the mosque restaurant, lovely veg couscous, the best I have had in Paris. Then to an exhibition that DH wanted to see so much but we had to queue for one hour in the freezing rain, not good for health and quite honestly I don't give enough of a fig about the impressionists to freeze my bum in a queue to see pictures. Ho hum, done and dusted, but I wasn't a happy bunny!

Back in hotel now, off to sleep.

Thnking of all with troubles and heartache and continuing prayers, especially for Lainey and her DM and for Coxy and her family xx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
