Hello all. Out of nowhere this morning my car started making a metal clanging sound when going over bumps and then on my way home tonight I heard it hit the road outside. After getting out I found this.

Any idea what it is? I can't see anything missing under the car but I'm not an expert. I really need the car tomorrow, is it safe to drive?

As said, your front coil spring has snapped. A fairly common problem these days.
Always best practice to get both sides replaced at the same time.I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0 -
Damn't, of course it happens the day before I need to drive down the motorway. Thanks all.0

Not wise to drive. This problem on certain Citroens was causing the broken spring ends to stab the front tyre (a few years ago)I am not a cat (But my friend is)0

I did with mine when needed to use car, it might make a bit of noise over bumps but best to sort as soon as you canRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
That;s fine I can get it sorted whenever the garage can take it, but tomorrow I need it to get to an interview. Can't win the lotto but if I need my car, you better believe something goes wrong with it.
Thanks again.0 -
