iPad and Vodafone data sim

Anyone have any experience of using a iPad with a Vodafone data only sim.
Basically the wife has bought a mobile broadband sim on the half price promotion from Vodafone...using it in a apple iPad mini and she isn't getting 4G on it.
Just wondering if there's any special settings to look at.
The techs at Vodafone have said I gotta wait another 24/48 hrs whilst they provision 4G on the sim....I can't understand why this wasn't done in the first place.
Anyone with any experience of this.....please help :j

Perhaps Settings > General > Cellular > Enable LTE
I don't have an iPad so can't check.0 -
Is it a new iPad mini ?
I suspect that when the original ipad mini came out they weren't made to work with Vodafone 4G (It will probably work with EE 4G though)0 -

Ipad mini 3 (A1600 & A1601) supports 4G/LTE in UK on 3, EE, O2 and VodafoneFrom any Home screen, tap Settings.
Tap Cellular.
