🤣🤣 Thanks for the chukle, I can imagine Big Cat playing with your hair, it must look very inviting 😁
Great news about the blood pressure, I hope the HbA1c comes back ok.
I had a cold last week so I'm behind with the yoga, did day 9 today but I confess skipped day 8 as it looked too relaxing. I might do it another day after a more challengig session.
It's been frezzing here as well, but luckily no accidents. I remember last year we got lots of ice on the pavements and we kept sliding towards the road, no idea why they're done like that with a slope towards moving cars.
Well done to DS, he'll get there with reading, I'm sure he won't get to 18 and still not be reading. 😅

Thanks jokono, it's wet outside today and a lot warmer so I'm hoping I can get out for a run when DH gets home from work, assuming it's not too dark by then. I hate running in the dark and don't feel safe. DH says I'm being over cautious but I think a lot of men just don't understand the fear that is instilled into girls almost from birth about not going out on your own after dark and if you do always having to think about what route to take - are there enough lights/houses/people around, always having to be hyper aware of your surroundings to keep yourself safe. I know that I'd probably be ok 9 times out of 10 but it's just too stressful.
I did day 10 of the yoga challenge yesterday, I love the relaxing yoga days, when I see Adrienne has a blanket I'm so happy. 😆 There was still a good bit of stretching on day 8 so it was nice.
Big Cat was lying on the coffee table when he decided he wanted to attack my hair. 😂 I had it tied back as well so he was pulling it out of my ponytail, he's such a pest at times. He's charging about the house just now having a funny 5 minutes. 🤷♀️
Yes the Hairy Maclary books are good, my 2 love them and the kids at nursery seemed to enjoy their story. They were all showing me which dog they liked the best and kept talking over each other. 😂
My thighs are really achey today after doing quad work yesterday and a bit of running focused full body work. Will do some yoga later and hopefully that will help a bit.
Need to do some housework as needless to say I sat down on the couch with the kids yesterday and fell asleep for half an hour rather than doing anything useful. DS kept waking me up to show me something on the lego game he was playing so it was more like a snooze than a sleep.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I don't blame you for not running in the ice and snow. I can't walk properly in it!

I didn't get out for my run yesterday and was really snappy with DH when he got home, he was all like "Are you angry because you didn't get out for your run?" and I was all NO! Then realised that yes I've turned into one of those people. 😂 So I need to get out tomorrow for a run. I'm working late shift today, DH is already at work and there's a weather warning for wind so can't go today. 😢
Yesterday I managed to get the stairs and rooms upstairs hoovered, my bed stripped and re-made, sheets washed and dried and put another washing away and got one hung up. Also cleaned the bathrooms and tidied the kids rooms, DS wanted to take down his baby stickers (cars and Mr Men) from his wall and put up lego posters so we did that as well. It looks really good but like a big boy room now, he'll be 7 in a few months. 😱 DD took the wall stickers for her room so it looks like a sticker explosion in there now!
Today I've put some washing away and washed the indoor door mats as they were both really mucky and then did day 11 of the yoga challenge. Need to get organised for work shortly and drop the kids off at my mum's, DH will get them on his way home later. Hoping the car seats will come out easily as sometimes they get stuck and are a right pain to get out of the isofix.

I can’t believe your DS will be 7 soon, that’s flown by 😱 My DGD is very much into skincare, apparently all the girls at school are. She was so excited to download the B00ts app on her phone - she’s 9 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Hope you get your run tomorrow, sounds like you need it 🤣
My 2 love the Hairy McLairy books, DS2 claims to be too old for them but still quietly enjoys listening when I read them wirh DS2!2 -
👋 SA & Dancing.
Yes SA I've heard that all the young kids are wanting expensive skincare because of social media 😂 I keep seeing people asking on the skincare groups I'm in on fb what to get their kids that won't harm them as they're asking for expensive brands with actives that aren't suitable for very young skin.
Dancing, I did get out for my run this morning, it was raining and windy but I did it. I tried running running 3 minute intervals and was really struggling again, not sure if my head just isn't in it and I'm giving in too easily to the wee voice that wants me to stop. 😂 Will keep trying and will go out again on Wed or Thurs morning. I also did day 12 of yoga when I got back then had a hot shower which was lovely.
I got away from work a couple of hours early last night due to the weather - the car was shaking in the wind when I was waiting at the traffic lights on the way home. 😱
Taking DS to his swimming lesson later as DH is working lates this week and it's normally his job. I'll need to drop DD off with my mum, need to remind DH to get her on the waiting list for lessons.
I'm getting my hair cut on Wednesday which is good as it's getting heavy again and needs a good thin and tidy. Will try and get cash out tomorrow for that.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. My ten year old is obsessed with a brand on social media. My mum took her and the aisle was filled with similar young girls wanting the same products.
I don't remember being so obsessed.September 2017 Debt = £25330

👋🏻 Willow, no I don’t remember wanting any skincare products at that age! My mum did start getting me to cleanse/tone/moisturise from around 11 or 12 which got me into good habits but I wasn’t particular on brands then either.
Managed to get out for my run on Wednesday morning, did more run/walk/run. It went ok but still feel I’m not making much progress. I might try and go for a run after work today, if not I have the option of tomorrow or Monday morning.
Had 2 of my work friends over on Wednesday afternoon. Made slow cooker chilli and a pineapple upside down cake. My friend made a salad as well so we had a nice dinner. The kids were chatting away to them as well.
DS got sent home early from school with a sore ear as well on Wednesday. He had mentioned it a couple of times from the start of the week but seemed to be ok. But Wednesday night he was waking constantly crying about his ear and had a high temp so we went to see the Dr on Thursday morning. He’s got ear drops & antibiotics and had 2 days off school. Last night was the first night he’s managed to sleep through, I got him to lie his sore ear on a heat pad and that relaxed him a bit more too. Hopefully he’ll be better for Monday but we might need to skip his swimming lesson next week. The Dr said a swimming cap pulled down over his ears might help as I said I thought that was irritating his ears.
DH has finally added DD to the swimming lessons waiting list as well. 🥳
DH & I are going out for lunch tomorrow for DH’s birthday which is next week. Booked a table at a Mexican restaurant so looking forward to that.
My car is going for MOT & service on Monday, DH thinks the faults that have been showing up might be an indication that the car needs a new battery. He has charged it up and hopefully it will get through the MOT ok. He also replaced the unit for my brake light which was out, it had water damage so that’s why changing the bulb didn’t make a difference.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
