Thanks Bob, yes my hair feels so much lighter & will be much quicker to dry it now after washing. :j

Have been watching some TV & chilling out with the cats - medium one on my knee, little cat tucked inside my house coat (or dressing gown, got a row from English friends as they couldn't understand what I meant by a house coat & thought I was wearing an old fashioned housecoat for cleaning in over my PJs :rotfl:) & big cat is lording it over the rest of us by lying on top of the big cabinet in my living room.

Think I'll read for a while & then try for an early night.

Forgot to mention earlier, one of the ladies on the other shift brought some baby clothes in for me that her daughter hadn't used for her wee one as baby grew so quickly. So that was really nice of her, got a few wee vests, a wee jacket, scratch mitts & a full outfit still on the hanger & all brand new. :T:) All neutral colours as well, which is great.

Work was a bit of a nightmare again today, so feeling pretty tired but on the upside I'm now off for 5 days. :j

Cleaned the kitchen worktops, brushed the floor & cleaned the bathrooms when I got home and stuck on a washing. Have an ironing pile to work my way through later. Sat down on the couch and dozed off so just going to rest for a bit.

Up to £5.95 on 0nepoll, haven't done any other surveys so far today. Have also tried to give little cat a clean, she doesn't have much fur (just due to her breed & colouring, one day she should have some, hopefully. :o) She hates it even though it's just baby wipes - she runs away whenever I get the packet out. :rotfl: So only managed to get a bit of her neck & tummy clean before the risk of injury (to me) was too great & I abandoned the effort. Discretion being the greater part of valour and all that. :rotfl:

DH working late shift again so will have a search about in the cupboard & freezer to see what I can use up for dinner. Should really make some banana bread as have so many black bananas in the freezer. My MIL thought I was nuts the first time she saw them, had to explain they were for banana bread & not because I like eating black frozen bananas. :D

  • Enjoy your days off!

Can I ask you what banana bread recipe you use? I made one from a random recipe online and it was revolting, so now I have a backlog of black bananas to use up and I have lost my nerve!

    Thanks Treading & :hello:

Pretty sure I used this recipe the last few times and it turned out well, although it might have needed a bit longer in the oven than the recipe says (memory is mince atm though :o so go with your own judgement).

  • Thanks, I'll give that one a try! Can't be any worse than the last effort.

Thanks Bob, need to remember the smoothie tip - slightly healthier than banana bread all the time. :)

Yes was so pleased to be given the baby clothes, they are lovely. :)

:rotfl: Bop, that is some mental image. :rotfl: My DH is English & he was confused at first but just got used to my usage of house coat instead of dressing gown & now I forget that not everyone calls them that. :o

Hi all, late posting today (in fact it's already changed day now).

We were up & out fairly early as wanted to get a few things done. DH needed some jeans so went & bought those, finally took an old duvet to the tip, bought gloss for the skirting etc in what will be the baby's room, took some bras back for a refund as didn't fit & went to Aldi's for the food shop.

Spent a bit more than usual in Aldi's as they had some baby things in (cellular blankets for £2.99 & got a swaddle blanket as well).

We then had my mum up for dinner & took her home about an hour ago, had a nice night and was good to catch up with her.

Both DH & I are knackered so bed soon & a nice relaxing day tomorrow.

Feeling pretty tired today so no plans to go anywhere. Have all the uniform shirts to iron so will get that out of the way soon.

Got another £2.50 through from a survey site so have paid that off loan no 1 plus usual PAD of £1. Think I have some Quidc0 money ready to be paid so will request that as well.

Will try & get a few surveys done today to try and get to payout on some more sites.

Going to start looking at nursery decoration - looking at the stickers for the wall which just peel off again when you want to change them. Still need DH to measure the window for a blind as well.

Also need to make a list of the baby clothes & accessories we have so that we don't buy more than needed.

Forgot to mention last night that we bought a pack of 4 Tommy Tipee bottles in Aldi for £6.49 which is quite a good price. Going to try & breastfeed for the first few months but will move onto bottle feeding after that so useful to have some bottles.
