  • Woke up to find that my Audible trial from a month ago that I had given up on has suddenly credited. Expensive time of the year too so I'm trying my best to stay in Paypal vouchers.

I bought the Vodaphone Smart Mini 7 from Amazon so's I could return it if not suitable.
Been running it for 3 months and no issues except at one point one of the apps was taking up much more space than the others so there wasn't room! Got sorted at one of the updates. The First 7 has very similar specs but one version older Android and a half inch smaller screen, it would need upgrading sooner, but then maybe the next version gets more memory?
I haven't really been paying attention to the EntertainNow swagup. What do you need to do in order to use it to get the 50SB?

I think it uses an app - I don't use any of the apps at all because my phone is not the latest so I can never install them. I guess I can't use the swagup even if I have it then?

Super Trouper, I thought I'd mention that I followed the above advice from thisone and bought the Vodaphone Smart Mini 7 from Amazon for £25 and have been running it for several weeks now. The first few days were a problem, the phone was losing internet connection and the apps were crashing. I persevered though and after a week or so it settled down and now the apps run without a problem. I clear the cache every day when the apps finish to make sure there's enough room to run them the following day. I think I remember reading other advice on the forum which said that at a cost of £25, it will pay for itself in 2 months. You and others always post such helpful advice, I thought I would mention my experience with this phone.

Thank you to thisone for the original advice and others for their helpful advice and comments.

Not being techie at all - should I be clearing the cache on my iPhone every day? Yesterday two of the apps went black on me in the middle of running them. I will have to Google how to do it, but I've been running the apps on my iPhone 5s for almost 4 years now.

Looks like the answer is no:

You might want to follow the article and take a look at how much memory your apps are using, but regular iphone restarts should take care of any temporary cache data.

In my brief Android experience restarts don't clear it's cache.

Hi, I'm not a techie either and someone else will probably answer your question with a more technical reply.
When I was initially having problems with the Vodaphone, I deleted an app, the only one I'm still able to run on my old Samsung Tablet. When it started running better I thought I'd add the missing app, but had the message that there was insufficient room to install it. I wondered why and noticed that it was easy to clear the cache and in so doing the amount of cache went down considerably. I tried to install the app again and it installed without a problem. So ever since I've made sure to clear the cache daily and, hopefully enable the apps to run smoothly, which they have done every since.
As you say, I'm sure if you Google it you'll find a way of making a lot more space available, which should enable your phone to run more smoothly.

I was forgetting DO NOT reinstall the apps unless you absolutely have to or you might lose them due to discontinued older operating system support.

Sonjaday , I had a similar experience with my Vodaphone.

I had the 50SB Enterainow swag up credit from using the regular SBTV app. I have a few of the older apps installed but never use them, I guess they still work even on older phones if you have older versions installed already. :)

The Wednesday code releases are always throughout the day. It's usually every 2 hours from 9AM onwards until the late afternoon/early evening.

I have all the apps running from a micro sd card so phone memory (alcatel) is not an issue. I'm now averaging 140 SB a day, over £25 a month and it makes the daily goal/monthly master without needing anything else. (The one within the main SB app runs bonus rounds all day but some of the ads have to be clicked to move on so it's no good if you cannot keep an eye on it)
