II did indeed go to work on Thursdsy , and am glad I did I managed to have a very good day catching up with things. Next week will be busy it being half term less staff in and my new counterpart being eased into her job.

I am fully recovered from whatever I had , still think it was something with gluten in it. Yesterday DGD and I went swimming at my gym , it's something I want to try and do at least twice a month with her as I did her brother. I have got a swim vest coming from eBay for her I think they are better than armbands. DGS is swimming now , but at nearly 5 he says he doesn't want to carry on, he wants to be a footballer:cool:.

Today has been spent doing the normal cleaning , washing etc. Tomorrow is shopping with dad and he wants a new lawnmower , so I am taking him for that. Mum will no doubt come along for the ride.
Have spent sometime today writing financial lists for the months ahead , a bit of planning makes me feel a whole lot better. My driving licence doesn't expire in April but August so can put that aside for a few months. I am saving for the passport and driving licence so the money will be there.

Also added a new category to my spends that is days out with the DGC , I got caught out last year at Easter and panicked about the cost. I am having a little pot going for the holidays I am covering . I don't want to be dipping in my own entertainment fund . It's my choice to take them places as I see it.

Have done some stuffed peppers tonight with bits left over in the fridge , I am going to freeze two , I do like them and they are gluten free and yummy.

Think that's it now , rather a long post in the end.

Pleased to hear you're better Cumbria. :)

I think having a pot for the DGC's outings is a very sound idea. Good thinking!:j

Stuffed peppers are a gorgeous food. I often do them and stuffed mushrooms as well. It helps with finding new recipes and ideas to try.

I need a new lawn mower and strimmer this year. Not sure how I will be able to afford it, but sure I will manage somehow. Next door have offered me the use of their lawn mower in the short term so I can always use that. They are storing loads of things in my shed so it's not like I don't help them out!

Glad you're feeling better, Cumbria. I've had stuffed peppers before and really liked them. I feel like hubby and I need to experiment with our meals more as we easily get bored, but it's easier to cook the same things again and again!

The stuffed peppers sound nice. Like you I am GF so they are very useful and nice hot or cold.
I hope you find the right lawnmower.

Stuffed peppers were yummy, they will be on the menu again soon. Shopping done in budget , bought a new runner for my landing . Dad didn't get his lawnmower today , he is still deciding! . We did go to a big cash and carry and I now have 10 litres of washing liquid. DD has done some mystery shopping today at a bowling place. Before children we used to quite often go out on mystery dining trips , so hoping for the odd invite soon.

Busy week coming up so early night tonight.
