    Good work on CC payments!

My inlaws live down in South Devon - never made it to Greenway though in spite of it being just a boat ride away when we're down there!! :rotfl:

Coleton Fishacre is my single favourite national trust place. I just love the feel of it. We go there reasonably often. Greenway is lovely too, beautiful grounds.

The Coleton Fishacre gardens are just beautiful and the views outstanding. I love the feel of the house too, not too big and sometimes someone is playing the piano. It is reasonably near us too so we go when we can.

I think a trip to the south west is needed so many recommendations for the NT places.

I haven’t made it to work today , I was rather out of it from Saturday late afternoon until this morning. I went out for my surprise an afternoon tea at a lovely hotel. Didn’t feel well all the time I was there and ended up in bed with a terrible headache that lasted 36 hours.

I literally dragged myself shopping yesterday and spent £20.60. Then came home and was in bed all day again. Haven’t got dressed today and not even had a wash.

I literally give up with my health and am desperate to get back to work and normality.

Have been tempted to book a holiday today , but haven’t yet .

Here I am with diary No 2 after the first was deleted. I am determined to be debt free by Christmas 2019 and am going to do everything to make this happen. I will then be 57 and plan to spend the 3 years after saving as much as I can so that at 60 when my first pension becomes available I may be able to go part time in my job and take my pension . The money I have saved will go towards rent to help my income. This is the plan and I hope this diary lasts long enough to see me through.

First off I am going back to work tomorrow for a day to get up to date with work ready for Monday . I haven’t said but I am still undergoing tests for a problem , which I think will all be ok but still worrying.

Then the news this week is that I have been invited to a wedding in December in Australia! . I am of course going as it will be a holiday as well. The dates fit in well with other things happening in the family.

Previously I would have just gone and willy billy booked the flights and not thought how I am going to pay for it. Not this time though , below are the maths .

I have first paid of CC2 and will close that down when it is cleared . CC1 the balance was a little different than I thought. The balance is £3109.27 .

What I have done next may not be MSE but it works for me , I had £700 in EF so I have used £220 to pay off CC 2 leaving me with £480.

I then did a credit card checker and qualified for MBNA card BT 38 months , cash transfer 20 months , which I applied for. I was given a credit limit of £5400 , I have balance transferred £3109.27 at a rate of 1.44% £44.77 and cash transfer £700 at a rate of 4% £28 . The £700 is for the flight . Altogether it comes to £3882.04 . I have based my direct debit payment on 22 months to be debt free by Christmas 2019 so that equals £176.45 . I have been paying £160 on my last SOA so need to cut £16.45 from my budget which will be doable.

I will still pay my £43.50 per month to my EF and £43.50 for my insurance account , plus £30 for car and £25 for hols which will now be spends for hols , I have about £150 so far. I will still be saving £70 for Xmas.

Yes I have paid around £73 for the transfers but it works for me at the minute. I will try and do overpayments when I can.

If everything was to go wrong I would have 38 months to pay for the BT but it isn’t my intention to let this happen. I hope this explains it well.

I need to do a new SOA but need the laptop for that . Just to clarify need no accommodation as that is free , but will contribute to food as I have done before. I last went about 6 years ago , after being ill this winter I will look forward to being in the sun in December .

Hope all goes well with your test results Cumbria.

What a lovely, exciting holiday to look forward to! :j You have worked everything out well sums wise. Your debt isn't enormous and if the chance of a holiday of a lifetime comes up, sometimes I think you have to take it - lovely memories.
