  • It's horrible being bored but an important part of resting so you get better. I sound like your mother :rotfl:.

There are tons of things I'd love to buy :o. Putting them in the basket could be overwhelming temptation for me .

Have been for a walk this morning ,just on a circuit near me which takes in a busy road and then we go into some quieter roads where there are some big houses . You can see see how grand they would have been in bygone years. Sadly they are now mostly flats. The weather was very agreeable and I feel so much better . According to the Fitbit I did 6231 steps , not bad. It’s hopefully given my lungs a wake up.

Today will be a NSD I hope . One good thing I won’t be using much petrol this week as work and back in one week is about 90 miles.

Have a good day everyone .

That was a decent walk then! Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery now too - the fresh air on nice days will definitely help with that I bet! :T And if you've needed that level of medication I certainly hope there will be no repercussions on your very sensible decision to stay away from work - if there are you might remind then that they have a duty of care to other employees NOT to expect people to attend work against Dr's advice!

Glad you're starting to feel better. I've had a cold since mid December. It keeps coming and going, really fed up of it now.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I went to quarry bank mill 30 years ago (for gcse history!) and loved it even then. I'd love to go round again, but generally if we are over that way it is for family events and we haven't got time.

Only NT near us is the Gimson arts and crafts house, Stoneywell, which would be interesting but not worth the membership on its own.
  • Glad to read you’re so much better and have been out and about in the fresh air. And as you say at least you’ve been saving on the petrol! Well done too on not giving into the temptation of online retail therapy!

What a sunny day yesterday , today is grey and rainy. Yesterday I still had DGD and after school DGS , they are no trouble on their own but together, you can imagine.
I was helped out by my own mum yesterday , DGD has 4 teeth coming through and was very grumpy.

We spent £4.25 on Ex mil present , some chocolate from M&S , she is always grateful for anything and it was nice to see her on her birthday.
I am being taken out this afternoon by my oldest friend we met a primary school some 50 years ago , not sure where I am going. Then another friend is coming round tonight as her OH is away.

I feel a bit rough this morning , but will soon be springing about, need to make the decision tomorrow whether to return to work. My voice is almost ok , still coughing sporadically. I guess I am worried that returning will ultimately make me ill again. Silly I know but how it is.

Just paid another £38 off CC2 , from PA and topcashback money. Now £220 , nor far to go now then I will use survey earnings on CC1 .

I have the money to pay off CC2 but no rush to pay it off as 0% .

Good to see you are getting over this bug. I had a friend due over the past few days but she cancelled as she felt too ill to travel. Everyone seems to be suffering with it. If yours lasts any longer do go back and have it checked.

Well done on CC payments :)
