Dab radio ideas needed

I'm after a dab radio that can transmit to a bluetooth speaker for work ( smallish and cheapish ) or one that has a power output so I can connect a bluetooth transmitter to then connect to a bluetooth speaker.

Any idea would be great

Bluetooth transmitters connect to a headphone socket so any dab radio with a headphone socket.
Most dab radios have speakers. Why use a separate one?
  • I'm not sure what your setup is like in work but if it's possible it might be better to stream the radio over the internet using a computer and then connect that to your Bluetooth speaker.

Many workplaces have policies on streaming streaming services over their networks.

However a little DAB portable into the mic-jack and outputting via the PC speakers is fine with my lot.

No access to streaming. And reason I want it to a bluetooth speaker is to keep the music close to me as I work in a moderately loud enviroment and as such as I move around I won't be able to hear it , hence the idea of a speaker .

I'm aware of the how the transmitter works , but so far I've only found one's that run of batteries and I'm still looking for one to plug into a powered output from the radio then just just sellotape somewhere to the radio and bluetooth to the speaker. Even better would be radio with sd card for when I feel the need for alternative music of my choice.

I hope this all makea sense and rhank you for any help.

I have Bluetooth transmitter that I use with an iPod classic. Generally speaking, it works well, although occasionally it will not connect and has to be reset.

    An older version of this...

Outside if the home, you'll likely need a license

  • If you have iPhone /android phone etc, then you may only need a Bluetooth speaker. If you do have one of these types of phone, you would only need to download app such as tune in radio.
It may depend on wifi signal of the building tho '

    Best of luck

Pocket radio no good not allowed to use earphones. Phone app no good uses too much data and battery so just need a radio that can also power the external bluetooth transmitter
