Snowing here and it is lying. Yuk.
The colour me beautiful is £120 according to their website but she charged me £100. It takes about an hour and a half. First she studies you eye colour then your natural hair colour ( grey but just now blonde) then looks at the skin colour of your inner arm.
Then she decides if you are cool or warm
then she starts draping loads of colours to see whether you are light dark or soft. It was great fun. She said the colour me beautiful books are in libraries .
I said I wore a lot of black and after I said I might have to remove bits from my wardrobe she said no just wear them with a scarf in your colours.
I thought she would make me up and I would get the hard sell for makeup and scarves but she didn't.
She said for makeup nobody does it as well as Boots No 7 so go there0 -
I had my laser hair removal consultation today. I have had it done before, but this is a new clinic, so I had to have another consultation. I got the offer through groupon, so it works out be the same cost as waxing per session. I have my first session in a month's time, as my Fridays are booked up for the next few weeks.0

Shame the 'floating' supervisor didn't get stuck in this week to help out with all that mud sugarbaby. It can be a major problem when students walk on muddy grass in trainers and it sticks to the ridges in the soles. Then during lessons it dries and falls out all over the floor.
Maman the supervisor was actually getting stuck in this week, but the amount of mud was horrendous. This Sixth form does not allow the students to wear trainers.0 -
Chanie,
What episode of The Chase was your mother on? I would love to see her on iPlayer.0 -

She wasn't on The Chase, it was Tipping Point.
We've done loads of running around today. Firstly it was swimming lessons, then to visit some new activities, food shopping and Church. I've just had a soak in the bath as I was chilled to the bone - it's been snowing on and off, but isn't settling.0 -
It has been a long week and still a long way to go as despite a day off I feel tired. I was so tired that I didn't put any make up on today and I missed it. I felt that i was missing a layer of polish, a symbol that I made an effort. Applying the makeup makes such a difference to me in terms of confidence and so subtle a difference to my outlook. Even a lick of mascara is like an armour.
This year I want to feel my best everyday, just for me as I deserve to feel my best, irrespective of what or whom i am meeting or doing.
So my plan for spring is to use some of my body oils, I have at three nexe to use up and they are not going to do any good in a bottle, are they? I want to get organized in relation to clothes and look more professional. I am tired of the sleeves being an inch too long or skirts that inch too long. Basically, I need to invest in myself by spending time choosing items to wear and fixing things that are not correctly fitting.0 -

I know what you mean about making the effort. I was pleased I'd done my make up today as I bumped into a friend from dancing in Sainsbury's. I felt quite fab but couldn't help noticing she looked anything but.
I've ordered the Clinique brush on click and collect from Boots and made a hair appointment. All progress.0 -
I was at a coffee morning yesterday. I was the washeruperer :j
I was trying to wash all the cups and my hair was falling in my face fringe a bit too long as I am trying to grow it out and an old man with dementia brushed my hair behind my ear and said so nicely you have lovely hair. It made my day and I am still smiling.0 -
Good morning all
I haven't posted much (I don't 'do' phones, so have to turn on computer) but I have been reading. Busy working, babysitting and fitting in some sleep. I have kept up the earings, perfume and zumba. I think I'll do the zumba through winter as I'll be busy in the garden over the summer. I'm itching to start with this lovely weather.
Chanie - I'm with you on the curly hair. I have 3b curls and am sick of hairdressers straightening my hair to cut it. I have actually started snipping my own over the past months - watching youtube is dangerous!!!
Great to hear of all the shopping trips. I'm enjoying by proxy - I really can't fit anything else into my wardrobe and can't bring myself to throw anything out. Luckily, where I live, there aren't too many shops to tempt me.
Hope you all have a lovely relaxing day:rotfl:0
