HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL X
I wish all of you the best for the New Year x
I have been banished from the kitchen as DH is cooking today's roast and I am interfering..... Its true, I am very controlling in the kitchen- something I need to stop, as it means hubby will cook more often (he is very good BTW)
The kids are hung over so a good meal will be welcomed there, I am catching up on some reading.... with wine

Good afternoon,
A quick one from me - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!
Hope 2017 is a cracker for you all.0 -
Afternoon -I've made it home. :j
After the week we had all last week today is simply beautiful, bright sunshine but biting cold. I've unpacked everything and put most things away though there is a pile on the stairs waiting to go up.
Bird feeders are now filled up and I'm about to have something to eat before going to the do.
I hope you all survived the festivities!0 -

Welcome to the daily thread WickedLady and Katsmum (and a happy birthday!) and welcome back dp1 and hollysnan.
Well that's a job well done! All the decs, tree, lights and other paraphernalia are down and boxed up again ready for next Christmas! The boxes are still piled up in the little bedroom until we summon up some energy to get them back up in the loft again! Maybe tomorrow!
It's now feet up time. Mr TA is already having his afternoon nap and, after another bad night's sleep, I don't think it will be long before I join him for a nanna nap!
Enjoy the rest of the day folks if you can xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Happy New Year, everyone.
Aww, bless little Scampi.LameWolf I can now set up a telly and DVD player for the chickens. Scampi watched Happy Feet yesterday – it wasn't just on, he actually watched it, lol. He was fascinated. I think the chickens might enjoy it too, what do you think?

It might stave off boredom for the chickens for a bit - I'd be tempted to put Mr Tru out in the run with them, too! :rotfl:
We finally got to bed at 2:00 - Mr LW decided he wanted to start a new game of Dragon Age: Origins after the Midnight Bells; and the fireworks outside sounded like WW3 in any case. Unfortunately, I have to wait for him to assist me with undressing, so I can't just push off and leave him to it - he gets upset if I want to push off, too. Not upset as in cross, but upset as in thinks I don't want to be with him.
But I really am getting too old for this sort of malarkey!
We've finally run out of things recorded on the $ky box, Mr LW decided we were going to watch the last film we had on there, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. So having watched that, it's silent in here now, and my tinnitus is driving me demented! May see if he fancies choosing one of his DVDs just to drown it out.
Hoppy Birdday Katsmum. :bdaycake:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening all,
just popping in to enquire as whether anyone has heard from Hilstep and to wish you all a blessed New Year.
I stayed up last night and watched the New Year in. The fireworks let off at the New Year were spectacular but i did have concerns about the wildlife and family pets who are afraid of them. My two girls fortunately couldnt care less.
Up several times in the night with the girls. Ive changed their diet and its taking time for their tummies to adjust.
This morning wasnt how i expected it at all. Its rained heavily throughout the night and hubby got stuck trying to get the cars out of the garden. In the past we have had varying degrees of damage done to the cars on NYE so he hides them in the back garden now on NYE. Ive never been so wet and so cold standing in the middle of a muddy field. Its took me all day so far to warm up. I'm not impressed. He's ruined the lawn.
Prodigal Son 2 came at mid day for a feed. Good to see him, but i still worry about him. I have cause to worry about him.
Onwards and forwards,
have a good evening all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
