B&Q repair of faulty oven

if the element is gone is would be really simple to replace it, what is actually wrong with it?

ps Cooke & Lewis are (or were when I worked there) 2 buyers for B&Q - they invented a designer brand to try and make own brand a bit more upmarket. Your oven will actually be made by someone else like Indesit or Beko.

Engineer from Cooke & Lewis telephoned the night before to confirm time. My husband sat in all day, engineer never arrived. B&Q telephoned to see if we got oven fixed. He advised us to contact Cooke & Lewis again, whose advisor told me the engineer had telephoned that morning to arrange time and no one was in, when I told him that wasn't true he had telephoned night before, the story changed to oh someone cancelled your appointment.

All they can offer me is another date next week either Tuesday or Thursday but won't know what time until that day. We both cannot get off work.. Left it with B&Q to call and inform them we want an evening call out now, but they say this is doubtful!
