That's been an 'eventful' few days - so glad things are looking better now.:grouphug: Good to have your DD where you can keep an eye on her till she's back to normal, too.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Wow what a worry for you. At least she’s home and you can look after her.0

I went into work today to try and catch up from last week. On the way home I stopped at Mr T's to do a main weekly shop which came to £76. Hopefully with top ups of milk and meat, I can stay below £100. Menu this week is looking like:-
Sun - chicken cobbler
Mon - macaroni cheese
Tues - chicken kievs
Wed - children eat with the ex
Thur - lasagne
Fri - something on toast!
Tonight was fish portions and chips. I used the oven, while it was on, to cook a banana and apricot loaf which used up 3 sad looking bananas.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

One good MSE thing that happened while I was away was the mobile phone people contacting me re DD1's phone. It's in my name and I pay for it each month, but the payment had gone from £16 a month to sometimes as much as £45. Apparently it's due to her sending pic messages and internet use. She does tend to send photos of where she has been so a recent trip to an art show resulted in lots of photos but apparently what's app is a useful alternative according to the mobile man. He has changed the package to give her more data and a message alert to show when she is near that, so hopefully payments should stabilise at £23. Hurray!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Today is NSD #8 (for January). We've had a very quiet day today as the weather has been very wet and the toddler has now gone down with a terrible cold.
Dinner today was chicken cobbler. I made a meringue mincemeat tart but in a rectangular shape, which used up some of the left over Christmas mincemeat. A lemon drizzle cake was baked at the same time the oven was on, so tins are topped up...for now!
I did have chance to check on the MSE credit club to read my credit report. It's encouraging to see the double glazing total is now £3,123. It's going down but frustratingly slowly. I'm thinking that the£150 saved in February from not having to pay council tax in this month would be well spent knocking it off the balance. I would then get below the £3k threshold which would be good.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

I'd recommend What'sApp: we use it a lot for family messages as well as one to one.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Made a payment of £110 today, which brings the debt total down a little. I had to pay £30 to the school yesterday as a voluntary contribution to the swimming costs. I had hoped to have more NSDs this week but have had one of those weeks of cooking ingredients needed one day and throat / cough sweets and calpol needed the next. I'll be glad to see the back of the current cough and cold bugs.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Still battling horrible coughs and colds here. Two DDs were really unwell today:(:(. Today was a NSD so #9 for January. It's the closest I've got to my target of 10 so am quite pleased though I know there's much room for improvement.
Veg risotto for dinner, followed by raspberry custard tart. I got a batch of chocolate muffins made while the oven was on, so there are muffins to go in lunch boxes. I was away over the weekend returning DD1 to uni following her week at home to recover from the health blip. She is looking well again, thankfully. I feel I need to catch up a bit on the baking front now that I'm home again.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

I love whatsapp and use it far more than sending a normal text/video calling.
Hope you're all feeling better soon x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
I'm glad your eldest DD is well enough to be back at Uni.
For all the rest - get well soon!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
