  • Busy day today. I spent £100 on food for the week, but that also included shampoo, conditioner, nappies and dog food. The menu plan is

    Sun - Roast chicken
Mon - chicken pie with leftovers
Tues - pasta with tomato sauce
Wed - children eat with the ex
    Thurs - sausage casserole
    Fri -

The £100 also included a sistema soup container. It was on offer for £2.25 and has a vent opening so that soup can be reheated in the microwave. I do enjoy making soup and having discovered that we have a microwave at work, I thought the soup container would be a useful purchase. I have a couple of butternut squashes to use up so hope to make soup with those tomorrow, in readiness for Monday.

I made a payment off a debt. I've estimated the interest and subtracted that from the payment so I think £75 is the amount paid off the capital.

I've done a few hours work in preparation for next week and got 4 loads of laundry done:). The tins have been refilled with flapjacks, mincemeat and marzipan loaf and raspberry custard tart. A productive day:):):)

  • You saying you have filled your tins today with home baked stuff has made me want to bake today. I might do some this morning seeing as I am up early with the two little ones. I keep saying I am going to bake but never seem to find the time!

Also well done on making a payment to the debt. I have a spreadsheet to work interest on my debts that are charging interest.

You have had a very productive day. I love days like that.:j
  • NSD #6 today:)

I've had a lovely afternoon, walking through the lanes and fields locally. The toddler had his wellies on and splashed in all the puddles. Sunset was beautiful and the sight of the snowdrops, a reminder that Spring isn't too far away:j

Trying to get organised now and gear myself up for work...an even busier week than usual is ahead.

  • NSD #7 today ( Monday).

Busy at work today. We stuck to the menu plan and had chicken pie even if it was a little late when we ate.

How ever do you manage seven in a row?!

  • Yes well done on that. I struggle to do two in a row let alone seven. There is always something to pay for in this house! Your walks sound lovely as well. I wish I could convince my toddler to wear wellies though. He only stopped wearing his sandals when we had snow before Christmas!
  • No I confess I'm counting the NSDs through the month. I used to do the NSD challenge on the challenges board and set myself a target of 10 a month which I kept failing at, so I thought I'd count them on here and get better before venturing back to the challenge boards. The most I've done in a row is 3.

Sadly not a NSD today as milk and bread were needed.
