  • katiehound sorry to hear the cruise wasn't the best.and u still haven't got a functioning dishwasher

Chanie you plod away really quietly with getting presents, while I tear my hair out with presents u seem to do it effortlessly!

A quick admission into hospital yesterday but with switching about i didn't have to stay.

I now have all my bits to put final shoebox together, just need a shoebox now and then hopefully I can drop them off.

Sent DN birthday presents, pleased to get them shipped out.

DD is going to help me put 4 lots of birthday presents together for one part of the family which can go bank holiday weekend. Will save on postage, free up some space so I can focus on Christmas more.

Touch wood the dishwasher hasn't gone but do have the new fridge/freezer and a new washing machine is coming on Friday after everything decided to break.I'm so relieved I had so many presents prepared otherwise it would be a seriously costly affair :(

Shoeboxes delivered. whew! Expecting to see huge space on the floor, no chance!

Need to start collecting things to take away on Monday. Would like to start packing the car but it is suggesting hot weather for Sat and one of the heaviest items that needs to go is the dog food- but equally don't want it roasting in the car!!

2 Christmas presents to wrap, take and deliver en route. Another teeny space might be available!!

Plan to cut and hem a double duvet cover tonight. It has brown stylised flowers on a white background, very good for a doggy duvet. Found a label inside- polycotton, from M&S with the St.Michael logo!! Could be a vintage piece. Think it might be from 70s- great charity shop buy for £1

I popped to Tesco today and picked up some basic brand toothpaste for 50p each and 5 razors for 30p (thanks for the tip katie) for my Link boxes.

    DD dragged me shopping yesterday.

Didn't mind going as I had a voucher for M&S that needed using up but even better was we went to get her BF some new trainers-I finally have my final shoebox.

Was planning on packing it up last night but I was so tired from the shopping I completely crashed but I'm happy.

Hopefully if I get my act together I can get the final one packed up tonight, even if I don't get the paper on it, at least it will be packed.

I'm hoping to get the shoe boxes delivered next week as I can't lift them on my own so DD can come with me. Now I definitely know I will see space as they are currently piled up one side of my wardrobe and I can only get in one side :)

Washing machine delivered today and they were supposed to plumbing it in as well. Turns out when I had my adapted kitchen in I had some weird plumbing put in. So having to organise a plumber, track down who I reclaim the money from as there is no reason for the plumbing to be like it is and then they have pencilled me in for a week tomorrow to plumb it in but I'm hoping to have it sorted sooner if I can as it's another week without a washing machine :(

    A cunning plan, happy kitties

Today, I bought some small shopping baskets (on offer in M&S) to use for the children’s xmas chocolate selection boxes. I can make them much bigger and better then the shops and I can reuse the baskets every year.

Am also doing something similar for DDs birthday. I want to get her a children’s make up set and am putting together a nice set of goodies from Primarni and Claire’s. Again, I can put together a set much better than the shop bought ones.

Hope you all have a nice BankHoliday weekend.

Off on another long drive with the hounds tomorrow.
This year every trip with dogs seems to be hot- not ideal! I am even struggling to pack the car, as I write this it's 25degrees (at least!). I need to travel in the afternoon, can not delay as there is a ferry to catch

No word from RAC. Still investigating! (Maybe, or hoping I will disappear ..)

Now a couple of presents and the boxes are gone I can actually see a bit of floor.

Man said he might come today to look at dishwasher. Didn't! Ha, how did I guess.

Good luck with all your plans over the next few weeks
    Cheers

Katie c I hope you have sorted th RAC and dishwasher.

I picked up a few stocking fillers from Home Bargains plus toothbrushes and bath bombs for the children’s xmas eve hampers. Home Bargains have started to put out their Xmas stock, which was very exciting!

We have a trip to Calais planned soon and we thought it would be a fun trip to do as a family. I will, of course, use the opportunity to keep an eye out for any potential Xmas goodies.

I never saw the shopping baskets when I was in my M&S. It's only a small store but will keep a look out for the future, could come in very handy for presents:)
We always go to a big, big store before Christmas so will keep a look out
Have also been in my local h.bargains a lot recently as cat food much cheaper there.
Myself and DD who have never really done Halloween-we picked up a few bits and it is exciting to see the Christmas stuff out:)

Havent really been doing much, real life certainly has a habit of getting in the way. Trying to arrange to deliver my shoeboxes next week.
DD BF has already handed over a shoebox for next year. Will keep encouraging DD to buy him trainers for presents aswell:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and stash the boxes:D

Calais sounds brilliant Chanie I bet u will pick up quite a few bits.
Hoping to bring a few baubles back when we go to Poland to finish off some presents.

I did wrap 2 Christmas presents last night and we have picked up a couple of bits for my uncle who we are going to visit next weekend. Really need to get wrapping to drop birthday presents off to him. We have been very disorganised with this and I'm late sending a birthday present for my other cousins DD.
I vowed I would be more organised with birthday presents but I'm going back into birthday season not very organised.

I did think about picking up a tin of sweets at Tesc@ to pack away for Christmas but we never get round to eating them and they end up being stashed for Easter so decided to leave it as we get bought lots of chocolate goodies but I am going to try and pick something up extra each week in my shopping now as it's handy for January aswell and less money needs to be spent on shopping then:)

If I get my act together I might wrap some more birthday presents tonight:A

happy kitties the shopping baskets are part of the Little Shop promotion which has recently been running. I have no idea what I’m going to fill them up with yet.

Our trip to Calais wasn’t productive on the shopping front. It’s difficult to shop with the children in tow. Still, we had a lovely time. We are planning to go back towards Xmas time - not quite on Prague, happy kitties but we thought it would be a nice treat and maybe that trip will be more productive.
