I hope things have settled down for u Anglea and the family is now doing okay.

It has been a very strange Easter, DD and I were away for a sporting competition so it doesn't really feel like we have had Easter.
DD despite being 20 received a lot of chocolate and ended up buying a Lindt egg cheaper today as her BF parents have bought her one and she hasnt had chance to buy any eggs.
Myself and DM received something quirky from the garden centre and we got DM some foodstuffs again that she liked.
Still need to deliver some eggs to family which we will do this weekend. Couldn't do previously as family member is never in-lots of hobbies and clubs
Hoping to make a start on wrapping presents at the end of the week-especially if the weather changes as predicted. I feel very disorganised this year and I want to try and make up my first shoe box at some point aswell
Hope everyone had a good Easter x

Not much to update from me. My Santa's challenge was put on hold due to Easter and also DS birthday. I did however, buy one Xmas present, which was a bath toy for my toddler niece.
  • I haven’t done much recently either. I have a Hugo Boss perfume gift set and a body shop gift set put away that I got for next to nothing. No clue who they are for but they’re good general presents for almost anyone. So I’m sure they’ll come in useful. That’s all I’ve done or added to the cupboard in ages.
I found some really nice jars of chutney for 50p which are good for years. So got a few jars to put away. Another month or so and I’ll start looking for cheap wine and other food bits I can put away, chocolate and biscuits. But we are away for a few weeks around Christmas so I can’t go over the top!
Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 12

I haven't done anything else. Had a week in hospital last week for tests pre surgery

I did go to a friend's for her birthday the other day which was lovely for tea and cake.I had to wrap one of her presents in Christmas paper. I had had her presents and everything ready for months but forgot some birthday paper. Bestie knows me too well so wasn't surprised by the Christmas paper at all!!!

Another birthday present to send, I'm behind with this one. I have the present just haven't had chance to send.

I really could do with wrapping some Christmas presents now surgery is becoming more of a reality but I'm so busy tying up other loose ends it hasn't really happened but even if I can get a couple done it will be better than nothing. Did find one present I have wrapped and haven't a clue who it is for so need to check my book.
Hope everyone is doing okay and being more productive than me!

Whatever little we have done is one step closer to finishing. We are also more ahead with our prep than most people!

I haven’t done anything for my link boxes or the Salvation Army toy appeal for a while, so I had a quick sweep of the house and found some items for both. I think I need to sort though the stuff I’ve put away so that I can work out what I have/need.

I managed to send the present on time-still do not know how.
Coming to the end of the birthdays for now, 3 to go and then I get a break until autumn

Managed to pick up rolls of Christmas paper from WHS today-20p down from 3.99 (there is no way it's worth 3.99). I've got stack of paper already but this means I won't have to buy in the sales after Christmas and works out much cheaper than the paper I would have bought in the sales.

Had some vouchers from the RM surveys today and vouchers from Tesc@ arrive so they are tucked away ready

Well done on your bargain wrapping paper - 20p a roll is amazing. For the past few years, I’ve bought mine from Sainsburys, once it’s reduced to 50p after Xmas. I just counted 13 rolls - I think I need to stop for a while....

I've actually managed to wrap some Christmas presents, not many but I'm happy :)

Another birthday present going out today

Chanie I think they had put the paper to 20p as they were squashed or dented at one end. I picked the best for the bunch with hardly any damage. I've been using one of the rolls and well worth 20p but definitely won't need to buy any next year.

Hope to get a couple more presents wrapped.
Thought I would start putting some shoeboxes together but trying to get shoeboxes, everything comes in plastic packaging. Fortunately DD is bringing some home but I think I will need to widen the search.

Last year, I got a couple of shoe boxes from Sports Direct, it that’s any help. I bought a couple of pairs of shoes recently which came in boxes - they are a size too small for link boxes, but I have put them aside in case I can’t get bigger boxes.

I bought my first two 2020 Xmas presents today. I have already sorted the 2019 presents for these people but I thought they would make good presents for the people in question, so I snapped them up. One was an osprey wash bag, which I got for £25 in Costco and a similar one on the osprey website is £95, so it’s a good bargain.

Wow Chanie now that is prepared. Since u posted about the two 2020 Xmas presents I have found one present but it might be allocated as a birthday present, not sure yet.

Will definitely pop into Sports Direct, a great idea as I was really beginning to think what I would do. DD brought 2 big boxes back, hoping to put one together today. The other box she brought home is too small but I have a birthday present to send the end of the month which it will be perfect for. Determined to try and reuse things or recycle as much as I can

I hope everyone is enjoying the BH. Just need to pop to the shops and I think it will be a quiet day for us. Also really need to get a letter written
As DD had to go back to uni for exams straight after Easter we still have Easter eggs sitting on the cupboard and a broken up egg in the fridge-it seems such a distant memory now.this year is whizzing by.
    Hope everyone is doing okay.
