I would like to think so, as I was specifically told by the salesman that the car has 2 years warranty remaining. To then turn around and say its void because its not been serviced enough, would be very unfair/misselling ?
Just check the owners manual for the actual service interval - you might find it's 20,000 miles or 1 year whichever comes first.0 -
Europcar, will have serviced the car in 19,000 miles , might just not be in the book , contact a vauxhall dealer and ask them to check on their systemSave a Rachael

I doubt they would as it looks like it has a 20,000 Mike service interval. Hence why they got rid, so no need to worry about the warranty.0 -
Peter Vardy is a Vauxhall dealer and its quite likely the first is an interim. The rental companies know they need to get the cars back when the services are due. Each time I get in one there is a a sticker to remind me.
I always go up a category or two to avoid these Corsa's though, due to the need to rev the guts out of them to go anywhere.0 -
my astra 1.4 turbo petrol is 1yr or 20000m whichever comes first. So should have just had 1 basic service prior to your purchase.0

Rental firms will rarely use a main dealer for servicing but it is unlikely a warranty claim would be rejected solely due to this - manufacturers compete hard to sell vehicles to the rental firms on the basis they'll buy them back to be sold on via their dealership network.
Even setting aside the warranty, the dealer would be liable for a fault with the vehicle as they were the seller.0 -
I love people who poo-poo forums & using them to research problems.
In my humble opinion, the people on these forums can often be more knowledgeable than the mechanics. Especially if they take great pride in their car.
They deal with that specific car, go to meets on that specific car & come together with a large community on that specific car, all sharing stories, problems, symptoms, yada yada yada. Eventually when you piece it together you get a common trend on things. If it's doing ABC then it'd 9 times out of 10 XYZ which is common on such-&-such a car.
It's like people who poo-poo Sat Nav's (generally old people who can't adapt) just because you get some idiots who decide to drive off cliffs. My Sat Nav has helped me out many times & if there's ever roadworks & it tells me to continue & continue would mean let's say driving into a roundabout that's just been built then there's something in me that tells me don't do it.
Hmm.
Anyway sorry i can't help with your warranty situation but i've just recently had my cambelt & water pump done on a MK4 (2001 plate) Astra 1.8. I bought the parts in myself because i can get them at discount, so the actual fitting cost of the cambelt kit & water pump ............ £70.
I know it may be more intensive on your Corsa as it's the next one up but it may not be so bad.0
