Virgin

Hi, some help advice please, my daughter is moving house to an area where her current provided (Virgin)dont cover the area, with either TV or internet.
So having contacted them,,they have advised that she needs to pay the remainder of the contract £240 which 1, i feel is totally unfair as they are unable to provide the services, and 2 she really cant afford...is this right thanks in advance

Unfortunately, that's the way Virgin work.
She took out a contract for services at her present location for the duration of that contract.
IF Virgin could supply the services at the new home, they would transfer the account there, but it isn't an obligation they have. As they don't supply the area she is moving to, she is cancelling her contract, and has to pay the cancellation cost.

Virgin National don't exist anymore. They sold all their off-net customers to Talktalk back in February 2015.

I know, as I was one!

Talktalk then sold us on to Daisy/Fleur who were pretty awful. I then moved to Plusnet, who used to be ok.

I'm now with Origin Broadband, who I have found to be excellent.

    What does her contract say?

Unfortunately the fact that your daughter is moving elsewhere is not Virgin's problem:-
