Of course, it's basic accessibility. It is a disability benefit after all.

It may well be for you. But for those like me that don't know or even understand PIP what chance is there?
There is absolutely nothing in the notes attached to the PIP2 or indeed on any of the government websites that says that you can change the venue, ask for a home visit or ask for a PDF version of the PIP2 to complete on a computer.
As has been explained earlier, I took it that you HAD to attend the venue one way or another and that is what I did. In doing so and following their instructions on how to get there I was penalised for doing what they said I should do! No account was given of how I was both physically or mentally after completing that journey. They saw it that I arrived under my own steam via two buses and a half mile walk.

I had to get a taxi back home and pay for it myself as I could not face the return journey

Hey, what's all this? I just thought to let others know how my PIP claim was going. What are you going on about Rockingbilly? I never asked for a home visit; it was offered.

Since when has that option for PIP been available? There is no mention on any of the documents that I have seen.

Seems to me this sort of information is only available to those in the know, much like the fact that you have a right to request a home visit or request a change of venue ike f it will be difficult to get to the one they choose for you, but no one ever tells you.
    Well - now you know - don't you ?
(I only discovered it by chance - I am unable to write legibly -so was stuck in form filling )
the same people can arrange a home assessment !!

Aren't you talking about a past DLA claim? How many times have we heard that old story?! It may well have been different back then. It's PIP now, you're still living in the past...time to move on as this is getting seriously boring -yawns-

You don't"t get offered a home assessment - You have to be aware that the option exists - and ask for one !!
