We got them delivered at work, but not putting them out until later this week - just the CCEs, Mini Eggs, Egg n Spoon, plus two others. We put out the larger ones after Valentine's day

  • In which case I doubt that you have sampled the latest incarnation of the Creme Egg.
    :(
It is sadly very far-removed from the Creme Egg known and loved by so many for so long.
    Awful, in one word.

Probably just me that can't tell the difference in taste..
    Mini Eggs however....:(

My local Asd* is putting the big ones out now. I don't have a problem with that although most of us must still be struggling to eat our Christmas choccies. Those that missed out last year by buying their eggs too late might like to get them a bit earlier this year to avoid disappointment.

Just been to Tesco and noticed there are shelves full of flour and eggs, but Shrove Tuesday isn't for another 8 weeks!

I dont have a problem with small Creme Eggs being available all year round :)

Apparently Cadbury tried it a few years ago and it failed-they even had that Creme Egg Twisted bar which is now limited to Cadbury Heroes.

Have never been a fan of them-and to replace the chocolate with a 'standard cocoa mix' i.e. compound chocolate (mainly milk and palm/shea fat with lower cocoa mass/butter) I'd rather eat dog chocolates :rotfl:

Dog chocolate has a weird, but ok taste to them. It's the ash in them. I used to eat them when visiting my late relatives when I was playing and taking their dogs for a walk.

Our W H Smiths has had Easter Eggs and Chocolate Bunnies in store since 26th December.

One of the staff members was asked about it and said it was a decision from 'Head Office' who said that all Christmas goods were to be removed by end of trading on Christmas Eve....then on Boxing Day the Easter Products were to be placed at the entrance to the shop and small eggs et.c as impulse-buys near the tills....they DID have a smaller shelf of Christmas bargains which were much further back in the tore..

I resent the way Christmas is rushed through by shops. I actually avoid going out for 'essentials' after the holiday for as long as possible because seeing a supermarket dismantling Christmas on 27th December is like watching a snowman melt.

Call it sentimentality, but I like to hang on to the spirit for as long as possible.

On the other hand, I find it depressing to see Christmas lines in shops in February - though not food lines. Talking wrapping paper, paper napkins, tree decs etc.
