But Easter is lateish next year - April 16th.

I have seem the CCEs on Dec 22nd a couple of years ago in a Tesco Express and everyone groaned said 'Can we have Christmas first?'

Would have made a very interesting last minute Christmas present for someone.

I was in a Superdrug store on 23rd Dec and 2 staff were busy shuffling Xmas stock around....one told the other it was to make space for Easter eggs !
I asked if I had perhaps misheard but was told its true......I also said please can we get through Christmas first. I mean, there hardly the 1st store you'd think of to buy Easter eggs in anyway.

Said in jest I'm sure, but seasonal RTC bargains are not what they once were, thanks to increasingly sophisticated sales prediction tools. Hence there just weren't the volume of leftover chocolate eggs last year (2016 I mean).

Eta: I just stopped by at a one of the largest Sainsburys. Valentines goods are on clear display :o

My old employer had Creme Eggs on sale back in November!

I can't understand why some companies can't get Christmas/New Year out of the way first-give people a breather.

No wonder the years seem to roll by faster than ever, haha.

In which case I doubt that you have sampled the latest incarnation of the Creme Egg.
    :(
It is sadly very far-removed from the Creme Egg known and loved by so many for so long.
    Awful, in one word.

The small Co-op on the estate were putting out Easter goodies on Boxing Day. I passed comment to the manager who was doing it and he said he had RTC the Christmas stuff and pushed it up so to put the Easter stuff out. He said the big eggs are due out in the next two weeks.

I suppose the shelves are for sesonal goods (Christmas, Easter, Summer, Halloween etc) so its got to have something on it. Interestingly, when I looked a few days later, you could see some gaps where things had been bought!!

All just a sign of the times sadly.

Need to keep the helpless consumer energised for the next chance to buy rubbish.
