So the final day of the footie season is here :( I hate not having soccer saturday on in the afternoons although hopefully we have some good weather ahead for the next couple of months to keep me busy :)

Washing machine is on, a couple of bills have been paid and I'm sat in the early morning sun in the conservatory wondering what to do next. I think I might tackle some surveys. I have got a few more plants to pot up later, still need to do the hoovering and empty the junk out of the car.

I put some dog food out last night for Mr Pricklepants, half of it was gone this morning so I'm hoping it was him that ate it, I was too tired to stay up and watch for him last night.

Ds is due back at 2.10 today, we have some homework to battle through ;)

I always miss the footie in the summer and there are no Euros or World Cup this year either. Hopefully we'll get some nice weather this summer. Enjoy your day

    So it's half-term :D:D
Today ds has gone off to watch trains and I have blitzed the housework. Bathroom is sparkling, everywhere's dusted and hoovered, dishwashers done, 2 loads of washing done (don't trust the weather enough to do another load), all washing is in the basket ready though. Beds made, everything rehomed so all is tidy.

I went shopping this morning and bought a pair of chinos in M&S for £20. I also did my food shopping in there  I spent £41 but it was almost all on proper meals - I got their dine in meal deal (big steak lasagne, minted new potatoes, profiterole stack and 2 bottles of lime presse for £10), also got 3 meats for £10 (salmon fillets, breaded chicken and lamb mince). I also got a couple of ready meals that were reduced and popped them in the freezer for a quick meal one night.

I also found a bargain in Superdrug - Toni & Guy dry shampoo reduced from £4.99 to 30p :money: There were 2 left so I got them both ;)

So,the rest of today and this week ... mainly chilling, spending some time with ds doing nice stuff, and staying on top of other stuff. I may do some painting, maybe my room or the hall / downstairs loo. I need to plan carefully exactly what I want though. Perhaps another trip to Ikea (I've run out of pepperkaka gingerbread biscuits and they're my favourite :o). I will do a list just to remind me of bits and pieces that need doing:
    • Top up windscreen wash in car
    • Clean / hoover inside of car
    • Swep drive
    • Sweep out garage
    • Wash back door curtains
    • End of month banking
    • Bookcase
    • Replant fuchsias
    • Change my bedding
    • Changs de bedding
    • Book dog in for haircut
    • Book dentist appointments
    • Book my haircut
    • Trip to Ikea: Book case, bathroom bin, Pepperkaka,

So this morning ds had his once a week lie-in, then we went to a model railway exhibition in a local village, followed by a bit of train spotting at the station. We stopped at the farm shop on the way home and stocked up the fruit bowl.

Back home for some lunch and I just managed to get the washing in before the rain started.

So, this afternoons plans of doing some bits in the garden are on hold, looks like it will be an indoor afternoon of pottering. Missing my weekend football already :o

I am working on the end of month banking. Mum is coming round for dinner tonight too. I'm trying to decide on furniture for the consveratory - I have a nice unit that fits perfectly in there, now I need to choose between a couple of tub chairs or a couple of poang chairs from Ikea ...

This morning I have been tidying up the front garden a bit, I will move on to the back garden later. I've cleared all the weeds from the path and re-homed the gravel off the drive back to the garden bit where it should live :)

Time for a cup of tea and some breakfast now. I'm not sure what the rest of today holds in store - nothing in particular planned as yet ...

So the rubbish bank holiday weather has meant I am having a mooching indoors kinda day. I have done a couple of moneymaking related bits though - I nipped to Sainsburys and got a box of Maltesers and a quark fruit pouch, both are free using clicksnap & shopmium. Receipts are submitted, so that's another couple of free bits and bobs for the cupboard.

I also got an email from a gambling site saying I had won a free £2 bet - anyway, I clicked spin and have ended up walking away with £50 profit :j :j I haven't added it to my savings totals as I have overspent on various things this month, including our rail holiday booking, so will offset it against the overspends. All welcome though :D In fact, I am going to do some more money related stuff this afternoon - clear all surveys, relist unsold items on ebay and check my isa's etc.

Wishing you a happy rest of bank holiday BenBen, I think I read that you are missing football already and I share that feeling.

And me! I'm missing football already too, especially as I have had to wipe last Saturday's game from my memory. Hope you've enjoyed the bank holiday
