I think you need to go with your heart on this one. You know him better than anyone and if home schooling feels right then go for it. Join your local home ed groups so that you can still socialise and make sure his dad helps too. There's plenty he can be doing to help out even if he only sees him a couple of times a month. You may find other home ed parents that are happy to do some sort of lesson share too.

This is a hideous age for teenagers and the amount of love and support you put in now will pay off big time in years to come.

Will a change of job/income have an impact on your mortgage application? (If you need a mortgage that is)

The mortgage application has all been agreed, I should just about be able to manage but it will frugal living for a couple of years :o Ultimately I know I can get by financially, this place has taught me that over the years, and if it means ds survives the next two years, my mental health and his are shaky right now due to all this stress and it would be worth every penny to get that back to normal for us both. I told the doctor I believe he's depressed, I checked his arms for self-harming the other night as I don't think he's a million miles away from that.

As for jobs, would you do care work? I work for HCC and we're recruiting... could do 25hrs a week so could fit around DS? Money isn't bad xx

Thanks Tigz but I have accepted the Sainsburys job for now - as long as I get at least 4 hours a week overtime it will work out fine.
I have the meeting with school tonight, will see what happens there.

In better news though, I have received a text from the mortgage company today to say the money will b e transferred to my solicitor on thursday, so I'm guessing we may still be on to complete this friday?? If not it should be at the start of next week Fingers crossed xx Let's see what this week brings ;)
