My TalkTalk bill is double what it should be?

I moved house at the end of last month and for some reason didn't recieve a TalkTalk bill for that whole period. They only charged me £1.50. But now this month they are charging me what looks like two months bill all at once. Does anyone know who've done this? I now can't afford to pay the full bill on time but I don't know how I can explain this to them. They have live chat and I can phone them but the call centers can never properly understand what I'm trying to say and they won't divert from their 'script'. Anyone know what I can do?

As you say, you did not pay a full amount last month. Billing , except for chargeable calls and any film rental is a month in advance, so you are being asked to pay the normal advance and the arrears left from the last house. Did you not save up to cover the latter ?0 -
Why didn't you query it last monthmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Hi roberts100,
All invoices are fully itemised. You can see a full breakdown of all charges that have been added to your invoice along with the dates they apply for and a description of the service. You can log into My Account to view the full invoice from the link in your bill notification email.
After moving you will receive credits following the disconnection of your old service. This is likely to show on your invoice where you were billed £1.50. This is for any advance charges you have not used at that property. Once your new service is up and running you would be billed a part month charge from your activation date to bring you in line with your billing period and a full advance month.
Thanks
