    Hi wombles

Just had to trawl through ten pages of wombling reports to total up January and am amazed and delighted to announce £254.22 :j
Some amazing totals - well done everyone :T

£26.93 saved on YS items yesterday - a huge chunk of which was meat and fish, which went straight into my freezer, thank you very much!

£33.50 saved by pre-booking train tickets for the skids' next visit, but still no roadkill...

    £60.43 so far in February.

    Thanks have updated you Diz

Had to buy new light bulb this morning but found they were BOGOF. Saved £1.85 plus 5p roadkill.

Great! Hope they will last longer than Foxholes
I saved £23.66 on special offers and reduced price items on this week's Tesco grocery online shopping :)

    #13 current total = £972.96

    Well done :T

Not a womble at all, but need to express my astonishment at a potential saving on dog food I've worked out and, well, feel free to skim over my ramble...

Old canned dog food (bulk bought when on offer, but not that often, sadly) usual price £9.75 for 24 x 400g tins. Approx. 41p per tin. 28 tins used weekly = £11.48 p/w

Changed to a cheaper own brand to trial with the mutts as Ridgebacks can be rather fussy. New food greedily accepted. New food is £1.95 for six 400g tins. Approx. 33p a can = £9.24 p/w

Discovered today that this new food is available in a 1.25kg big tin for 85p. I'd use just over nine tins a week, so cost would be £7.93 per week.

    Original annual cost was £596.96
New big tin annual cost would be £412.36
    Saving = £184.60.

This was just one item from my shopping list. I'm flabbergasted.
I hasten to add, my dogs do get mixer biscuits, treats and bones too, so their diet wouldn't be adversely affected by a wet food of "lesser" quality (if, indeed it was - I don't know).

Apologies if you've died of boredom reading this. If you are still alive and kicking, I thank you.

    Wow that is some saving:T

Im amazed they'd take that back TBH. Glad for your sake, but how could you prove it was their lightbulb and not your power surging or something like that??

It says on the packet 2 years of light and as we only bought the poxy things on the weekend in a 3 pack and 1 was only taking one back, they seemed to think it was not unreasonable.

Managed to keep away from the shops again today and made a weird concoction for supper today using up stores, so NSD number 2/15. Said weird concoction has one portion left for my packed lunch so I'm going to aim for another NSD tomorrow.

The only womble I had were a small bag of spices and flavourings my friend gave me, which I'll put a low estimate of £3. Amongst the goodies I was given were a couple of jars of shrimp flavoured fried garlic. My husband's allergic so they will be given to his colleagues tomorrow.

    Total womble: £192

£9.70 off Pizza Express bill due to a voucher code, sadly I used the wrong voucher code, not the one I meant to use, which would have given me £15 off. Grrr. stupid phone. Still, nearly a tenner saved anyway!

£3 Hollyf0x reward for me too!

Whilst cleaning I have found a shiny 50p and a not so shiny 2 New Pence coin from 1975 and a 5p coin - not from kids' bedrooms I hasten to add, any money found in their rooms goes on their bedside tables/ coin jars.

Only washkill / communal area coins get nobbled by me. In case anyone thought I was robbing my kids.
