20p roadkill around school for me today...

    Those careless kids!
2 free bus journeys worth £3 yesterday (TFL has a new system where if you use pay as you go on your Oyster card, then when you take 2 bus journeys within an hour the 2nd bus journey is free) :D

Free Evening Standard and Metro newspapers for which will claim £1

Saved another £3 on 2 bus journeys today

    I found 2p on a classroom floor

New Van Dal shoes for £9.98 on eBay including P & P saving me £65.02 on the original price :T

    #13 current total = £219.89

I love the new hopper fares too and had never thought to consider those as part of my total, so thanks for the tip :)

Hi Bob, M0rris0ns do a scheme where you can't select to have your online food shopping without bags but instead if you collect your bags and keep them safe then when you next have a shop just hand them back to the driver and they deduct the money from your new shop.

    Good to know thank you.

I saved £19.02 on my Tesco online grocery shop through various offers and price reductions :D

I got a 50p Brand Match refund on the same shop

I got a £2 e-coupon to use on my next shop as a goodwill gesture from Tesco as last week I handed back a wholemeal bread that had been substituted for the Finest wholemeal I had ordered and did not receive the 50p refund, so I gained £1.50 :D

    #13 current total = £240.91

Great to get more back because they were tardy.

Applied and was accepted for a new 0% balance transfer card, comes with £20 cashback so after the transfer fee is deducted I will have gained £11.20

    That's brilliant.

  • 7p roadkill for me today
  • I wombled some free food from school today - my friend is in charge of food tech and sometimes passes things to me that are past their best but still perfectly fine. Today I got a box of 18 eggs (£1.50), 200g cheddar (£1.20) and a big bag of onions (67p). A Total of £3.37 just for having a thoughtful friend..

  • Just got what I think is a pretty amazing womble.
I got a Fitbit for my birthday last year, and over the past couple of weeks something has gone wrong with the strap. The Fitbit itself is fine, but the strap looks as though it has a bit of a blister. Anyway - I contacted them as I thought it was still under warranty, and they have sent me a brand new one, but the next model up from the one I had. So a free upgrade, and still a fully functional older Fitbit that I can keep. The Charge 2 is what I've got and it costs £129.99 so I consider that to be productive wombling.
  • Cut all the christmas cards up as usual to make gift tags today, managed to make 47 tags for next year. Not sure what that equates to in monetary terms as I haven't bought any christmas gift tags for eons but I'm claiming £2 :D

Also wombled some of those straight up and down glass jars from work,(the sort which posh pate or pickles come in) which make fabulous candle holders either at home or tarted up as presents. 3 in all so I reckon at £3 each that's another £9

Managed to knab a couple of really sturdy biscuit tins before they made it to the bin too, short of storage tins for biscuits and bakes at home and I was thinking I was going to have to buy some in the sales so chuffed to bits. Reckon that's another £8 saved :D:D:D

    Total so far £22.75

Womble on boys and girls :):)

Ooh yes, I've done this too. I have a tag-shaped punch that I use. I think I made about 80 tags, all threaded and tied with cotton. Going to claim £1.

Bizarrely, after my comments on eggs yesterday, I had a full house, but as I sold a dozen, I won't claim twice, so just £2 for eggie sales.

Still no roadkill, but I'm keepin' 'em peeled...
