After nearly six months with Smart Meter my monthly DIRECT DEBIT is very high with even with a high credit amouth .. 10 Nov-30December bill was £164, my balance was £526.75 in CREDIT, my monthly direct debit £133.78 for January, My last Bill for January/February £152.16, my direct debit £106... I'm on a one bedroom flat on my own with one sometimes two carers coming in to help for one hour at a time... I have looked at past bills I never paid over £70 a month even taking in the fact about costs and usage, my gas TCR 3.11p, Electric TCR 14.18p
.. I believe that the direct debit Monthly amount is being SET UP ON AN ESTIMATION . I wish I'd never got it the grief I've had from the company the staff n the meter itself it's not been worth it, I'm at a point where I ask a friend or carer to call them up . They refuse to refund credit or to lower the direct debit.... reasons they give are that it's high season usage and the credit will be used to pay the extra usage and that my account only gets reviewed once a year. I must be in the wrong somewhere.0
