Is it reasonable that I send this information on email to Wow Airlines for them to pay compensation - I have waited 10 weeks and now it seems I have to send this and wait a further 6 weeks?

If you want to receive payment then send them the details - if you are concerned re email - ask for a fax address and maybe send part of the information by fax and part by email, or ask them to send you a cheque...although I expect this will just add further time to the process0

Are you also clear that you have been offered the correct amount of compensation. Let us know all the circumstances so we can check.0

It has been 5 months since I submitted my claim - they have said I would get 400 Euros and I have supplied the details but am still waiting - it seems they want to draw this out as long a s possible. I have used Resolver and had to move onto their system to progress - they seemed linked up so all ok. I have now escalated this and am waiting for a response.
I think 5 months and still waiting is disgusting and does nothing for customer relationships.
I wonder if WOW are in financial difficulties as I was told there were 2000 claims i the system!!!0 -
I am starting a new thread as it may be of interest and help to others.
5 months ago (October 2016) my wife and I flew to Iceland for a holiday - all went well until the return flight which was delayed by 9 hours due to a technical fault (I understand there was a problem with the plane or crew (A rescue plane was eventually sent out for us)
I submitted a claim for statutory compensation (400 Euros each) within days via the Resolver portal. This returned a response form WOW saying I had to submit the details on their system which I did and they acknowledged. Some time later after a request for an update I was told by WOW they were sorry and that my claim would be met, giving me the choice of either 500 Euro vouchers paid in a few days or 400 Euros via bank transfer.
They asked for my bank details if I wanted the cash compensation - I supplied these via their portal after checking with my bank it would be ok to do so. I was told that payment could take 4 to 8 weeks. We are now 9 weeks away from that point and no compensation has been received.
A phone contact I made did not result in anything other that an apology and a promise to refer it on. I have now escalated this and am waiting to see what comes of it.
Has anyone else had similar problems with WOW Air? I wonder if they are in financial difficulties as I was told on the phone that there are over 2000 claims in the system!!! Given they only have 12 planes this is worrying.0 -
