Virgin Megastores Appauling Customer Service

    Yes I think that Virgin's Customer Service Line is a bit like one of those premium phone rate lines. You dial Virgin's 0845 customer service number, get through to a recorded message which gives you four options to select from. No matter which of the four options you select from you then get a ring tone that goes on and on for ever without anyone answering. Of course as you have already been connected through the 0845 number and the initial recorded message every minute you spend listening to the never answered ring tone racks up your phone bill and no doubt keeps Virgin's bank account topped up with your money. Could be a nice little earner for them and as far as I can determine they do not seem to give a stuff about upsetting their customers so basically a win/win situation for them. I will personally never use either their online service or set foot in one of their stores again.

    I don't believe it.. a customer services rep has esponded to me (4 days later) and is sending out a new copy without asking for the damaged one, however I returned the original damaged one to them yesterday, asking for a refund. The price has now gone down by £1. God knows what's going to happen now. I hope they mess up and refund me and also send a new copy :rotfl: I just know somethings going to do wrong again!

    Virgin Megastores Customer Service now seems to have collapsed completly. When you try to submit a customer query/complaint on their website you now get the following message:

    Proxy Error


    The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
    The proxy server could not handle the request
    POST /contactus.jsf. Reason: Error reading from remote server


    The whole Virgin Megastores organisation seems to be a complete shambles and well worth avoiding. At least my Credit Card company are now pursuing them for the money they debitted from my account.

  • I also have not received a wii and nunchuk. I am dreading my phonebill as have spent hours trying to get through to their so called customer services. On the rare occasion I have been spoken to someone thye have conceded there has been several problems. they are supposedly putting through a refund but 12 days on it still hasnt been sent. Noone there can send me a confirmation of this. This is the worst online experience I've ever had. I have had a better experience talking to their option 2 operator that is about service received in their stores. Try them rather than option 4!

    Thanks for the tip but I think I have given up on their Customer 'Service' phone line. I will just let my credit card company do the job of getting my money back off this bunch of incompetents. Virgin Megastores online is truly the most awful service I have ever encountered and with so many other good online companies I do not see how they can survive for much longer.

    GRRR!!! Having ordered a Nintendo WII from Virgin Megastores they have completely failed to deliver it. Now every retailler in the country seems to be out of stock so my kids will be not get their number 1 xmas wish list present. I have also still had no response from Virgin Megastores to any of my emails and as for their customer service phone line......forget it....no one ever answers. Avoid Virgin Megastores like the plauge they are terrible.
