GBP to Euros rate - going up or down ????

Just about to buy some euros and best deal i can find for £100gbp to euros is 1.375 !!

Why is it so low ? My mother got 1.43 just a few weeks ago .

Im going in 3 weeks, should i buy now or wait and see if it rises ?

I used travelex today and got 1.40 - use the calulator on this site to find the best.
Euro has been dropping for a few days - probably Northern Rock had something to do with it.

Pound has been dropping - had the Euro dropped you would be getting more for your Pound.
