Like I said before, read it carefully please. And if maggy what you said before is true and your friend was hospitalised with a pacemaker already fitted, he shouldn't be driving until the underlying cause has been identified.
And for God's sake, confirm with the DVLA rather than us arguing on the forum. Speculation isn't going to help your friend at all. Risking his life isn't either.
There is every chance that the person who is being discussed has already been declared fit to drive.
Advising the OP to contact the DVLA when its none of her business is a bad idea.0 -

But, also, you can only assume this.
Some people who are no longer capable of safe driving are in denial; after all your independence is a lot to give up.
A very frightening situation is that where people with advanced dementia have been caught driving, despite relatives having hidden the car keys.0 -
Can I make it clear !
I would not report anyone as I feel that their relatives should raise any concerns .
My original post said he was a friend but I should have said neighbour.
Personally I think that people should have compulsory tests over the age of 80.
Including health checks .Light travels faster than sound.
This is why some people seem as bright until you hear them.0
