I know jonbvn is toughing it out in 50 degree weather....but at 26, it's toooo hot for me. I'm sure I was an Eskimo in a previous life:D.

It hits 42 to 43 degrees most days, but humidity is quite low. With a decent wide brimmed hat (I have a good Tilley), light clothing & plenty of water breaks in the shade it is not as bad as you probably think. Keeping hydrated is the key for me. On Friday out walking I drank between 5 & 6 litres of water, with only one toilet break.

Now Ramadan is here, my walking will be seriously curtailed. Such is life....

Another 39 miles this week :) 141/170 for May so far. So another 30 miles to do in May. And 10 days to go. Seems a bit too good to be true, off to check my sums!!

Checked my sums and it seems this is right. A bit under this week (36.5) but that still leaves me ahead on the month - at 177 with a couple of days to go. And unusually for a Sunday did a fair bit of walking today (looking for a dress to wear to a wedding, successfully, yay). I think I'll aim to get to 200 for the month, which would mean 6 miles daily for the next three days :) would be nice to get a bit ahead. Will do an end of month and annual progress to date post mid-week.

Reporting in at the end of the 21st week 28 May 2017:

As of midnight Sunday night, I have walked 1292.09 miles putting me 474.23 miles ahead of schedule.

Will be back in the UK for 2 weeks, last week of Ramadan & Eid, so hopefully can pick-up my walking back in a temperate climate. Knowing my luck will be horizontal rain for 2 weeks ;)

I'll take your word that 43 degrees is not too bad Jon........

Just had tally up for the last day of May and I'm not making this up, I'm bang on target today with 833 miles. I've caught up on my deficit and hope to build up a bit of a buffer.

I also weigh a stone less than I did on the first of May and can get into some clothes at the back of the wardrobe:D

41.5 this week. Not for the lack of trying, had issues with my car to deal with, weather sometimes held me back, then yesterday was my brothers wedding... still not bad.

Total so far is 987.7, only 12.3 miles to go before hitting the 1000 mark!

Thinking in maybe 2-3 weeks time attempting to do a 100 mile week! Need to get the ok from the wife and have a clear week as it will be morning and evening walks every day near enough, along with a decent distance over weekend

Well, Monday and Tues morning were no go in terms of getting out, however last nights walk combined with this mornings, I have just clicked over to 1000.1 miles!

    Half way done!
