    Update

Next week is my last week at work. Eeek. I am excited about my new job, but also nervous.

I have bought myself a new work wardrobe for my new job. I thought I was going to go over my budget, but I managed to get some last minute bargains including £10 saved on some shoes from eBay. I ordered an item, which didn’t arrive and so eBay refunded the item and sent me a £10 voucher.

We will be saving most of my redundancy money, but will be using some of it to pay off overdrafts (and removing them), some work around the house and also some family treats. We bought the children new bikes and me and OH will be going shopping for our treats soon.

The weather has been lovely this weekend, I hope you all are enjoying the sun.

    Savings

£8 saved on a top and some wellies for DS. I bought the top yesterday, but it was reduced today, so I repurchased it and returned with yesterdays full price receipt. The top was cheap enough anyway, but it was nice to make a £4 saving.

£15 saved on a t shirt and culottes from Uniqlo. I was eyeing up the culottes a few weeks ago and snapped them up in the sale. The t shirt is out of season, but I know it will get let!!!8217;s of use in the winter.

£13 saves on some toms alpargatas in the sale. They are sooo comfy and I wore my last pair until they fell apart.

I am off work this week, before I start my new job. Today was a busy day with lots of errands, which I am trying to complete before I start my new job. I had some school PTA business, then I dropped our duvet at the launderette to be washed,a trip to the Tip, pick up the duvet, bought new bedding for the children and popped into IKEA.

Tomorrow I plan on popping in to town and doing som more declutteting at home.

Hope everyone is having a nice week.

£130 saved on jewellery. I wanted to buy something to remind me of my last organisation and stuff I chose was in the sale, plus I got an extra 10% off.

Today, I popped into Aldi to buy school uniform for the children. It was quite busy but I managed to get most of what I need. The trousers are £2.25, so I buy three pairs and the last just long enough for the school year. Last week, I bought The school shirts from matalan. I wasnt expecting them to be in yet, but there was a sign outside so I thought I would grab it whilst I could.
Both children have recently had new shoes and jumpers, they are pretty much sorted for uniform.

Chanie, I hope you get lots of wear from your new jewellery and enjoy wearing it.

I am glad that buying uniform is over for me.

    Holiday 2018 - the Canaries

We are on holiday so I thought I would pop by to update. We always go self catering, which we prefer, as it means we can see to ourselves. We normally eat breakfast and lunch in our apartment and have dinner out. before we came,we stocked on on snacks like crisps and cereal, so that saved us some money.

The biggest lesson I learned, is to change our currency before we arrive. We normally do, but wasnt organised enough this year, so although we got a fairly decent rate, we paid a lot in commission.

We are off to the beach today, which I am looking forward to.
  • Happy holiday,hope you have a fantastic time. x
