Sky MSE offer from Sept - £50 bill credit. How does it work?

Hi,
I switched to Sky for phone/fibre broadband, putting in my order before Sept 29th on a special MSE deal including £50 discount to be applied as "bill credit".
The switch was awful (3 weeks without service while Sky and BT faffed about...) but I've been finally up and running since November. My bills to date are a bit confusing, because the initial switch (with date in Oct) didn't work, and my service didn't go live until Nov. So the initial payment got carried over etc., and charges didn't start until later.
There is no sign of a bill credit appearing on my statements so far though. I was wondering how this is supposed to work? Should the credit have been applied already? Any experience from users who switched under the same deal?

I wonder if the special MSE discount dropped through the cracks, because my initial switch attempt failed ("was cancelled", according to my Sky account info).
