IKEA cannot deliver small orders

It seems IKEA has decided to use ParcelForce for (small) online deliveries. I ordered some bedding online, received an estimated date for delivery, followed by a confirmation from ParcelForce that they would deliver on a given date. I stayed in all day. No delivery.
After 18:00 I complained to customer services by online chat. All they could say was that I had to call ParcelForce the next day to sort it out. I refused; they not I have the contract with ParcelForce. The online chat person flat refused to help or to pass me to a supervisor.
Via an internet site I found the email address of {Edited by Forum team} at head office. I complained there and got a reply from {Edited by Forum team} She was very sympathetic and said she would look into it.
In the meantime, ParcelForce had texted me the day after the supposed delivery day, giving me 30 minutes notice of delivery. I was in a meeting elsewhere and did not even see the message until too late.
According to {Edited by Forum team}, ParcelForce made “several other attempts” to deliver, though they never contacted me in advance of any other alleged attempt, neither did they leave me a card. I don’t believe they came at all.
In the end, IKEA cancelled my order and refunded the money. They gave me £70 in vouchers, but I don’t have a car, so with no means of delivery I don’t see how I can use them. I will have to find somewhere else to buy my bedding for a continental size (IKEA) bed.
Any suggestions?

Sell the vouchers and buy the bedding elsewhere
OR
Get the train to the nearest ikea and get the bedding you need.0 -

Can you not use the vouchers online?0

Sorry to highjack slightly, but Ikea now do online deliveries?
Is this a new thing?0 -
Can you ask for full refund in cash?
Delivery never turn up and leave no card.
You should insist Parcel Force lied and ask for refund in cash, not in voucher?
Or could you spend extra and ask Parcel Force to leave it at local post office for you to pick up? I think Parcel force has that option.0 -

Surely, if an online order has been cancelled, you should be refunded in the same way you paid. So reject the vouchers and demand a refund to your credit/debit card? If not - then maybe you could still initiate a chargeback as the item ordered has not been delivered.
You're quite right that it's for IKEA to take it up with their delivery partner not you.I need to think of something new here...0 -

Strange also.
Why would they issue vouchers?0 -
