Hi guys,
I'm currently in the ignore stage of my fight against UKCPM. However, last week my car was damaged beyond repair and the insurer has informed me it will be a total loss. I imagine they'll fix it up and auction it on in the new future.
So, how does this affect my current situation? Here is a quick timeline of whats happened..
- October, received the PCN
- November, sent the standard appeal letter
- December, resent the appeal but got a certificate of posting this time.. doh!
- Last week, cars in an accident.
- Today, just got a reply denying my appeal. Also found out my cars a total loss.
Will they continue sending me debt collector letters because I was the registered keeper at the time of the incident?
Thanks

Whre was the vehicle parked, and why did it receive a ticket?
for example:
was this a residential site to which you have a right to park in conferred to you by a lease/rental agreement/AST?
was it a retail park, or a shop? From the Plain Language Commission:

The insurance company wont fix it up and auction it off. They auction it off and people can buy and repair it or buy it for parts or just scrap.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

That's an interesting stat. Do you happen to know how many pay up though? It's no good if 39811 tickets are issued and 39800 are paid within 4 weeks lol0

In response to Half_way it was at a local supermarket, it often gets overcrowded and so people park outside the bays. A few months ago CPM got involved and now there are hundreds and hundreds of people getting tickets for parking outside a bay0

and have you complained to said supermarket , and ask them , nay TOLD them to get it cancelled , ???
photocopy PCN , write your email address on it and give it to the MANAGER stating that you expect a cancellation note by email reply
if "hundreds" are getting tickets , then there is something major wrong with that siteSave a Rachael

Get that in the papers and propose a boycott of the place. Get local Councillors onside, like here:
https://norwich.greenparty.org.uk/news/2016/06/04/stop-heavy-handed-parking-enforcement-at-earlham-house-shops/
It will not go away without strong complaints and publicity. UKCPM have no place there, just like NPE have no place at the Norwich shops.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
