Following on from our December 2016 resolutions thread this is your chance to set your intentions for 2017.
Well done to everyone who achieved some of their goals in 2016 - remember if you don't fail occasionally you aren't reaching high enough!
I will come back and post mine when I've had a chance to think but I know some people are better organised than me. I've signed up for a bootcamp course to run from the end of January to Easter so that's going to be my first one anyway:eek::j

I want to have a spend-free month (yes, month  ) so that my account can replenish itself. Currently planning to have the NSM in February, as there are no birthdays, etc then.
Also planning on severely curbing my internet use in the New Year.
Other than that I would love to get my room decorated, and to take up some hobbies again.0 -
Piano lessons is the plan. Was going to start in November this year, but that never happened.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

Hi!
I want to;
-loose two stones
-double my business profit , or/and
-start new line , or/and
-find a new job in accounts
-run in 5 km Done
That's good enough for me0 -
Lose three stones
Complete my GCSE Mathematics with a 9, 8 or a 7 (yes, they've changed the marking system again)
Move into my newly refurbished house - five to six month conpletion schedule, they start in the New Year.
Decide what I want to do with the rest of my life - I'm 49 next month, I need to get a move on
Perhaps, have a proper, bone fide holiday for more than a weekend.
Start to learn to drive:huh: Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
I'd like to lose at least two stone and generally give myself an image overhaul...learn how to do makeup, buy a new wardrobe of clothes etc. I have zero self confidence in how I look and need to do something about it before I turn 40 in January 2018 as it's really impacting on my life."I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." My last resolution was New Years Eve 2014. I decided that, rather than focusing on the negatives, I'd prefer to be positive; so my one and only resolution was to be happy.
Rather than telling myself I would lose x stones, go to the gym and get fit, etc, etc, I decided to ask myself 'does it make me happy?' before I did/didnt do anything.
My job was making me miserable (rather, the person I worked most closely with was a cretin), so I left it. Took a temp job that was for two weeks till I sorted something else out and ended up there for 18 months till I moved. My colleagues were lovely and I learned so much as i worked in finance for a time.
Since then, I have also lost quite a bit of weight, moved 400 miles away and my OH and I are having a baby. I have genuinely never been so happy in my life :j
This year, I want to concentrate on building up my business. It's doing really well, im getting rave reviews and plenty of returning customers, and I want to keep this momentum going.
And I want to spend our free time enjoying our family. Going for days out here and there. Not necessarily spending a fortune, but just having fun.
Obviously I will also get back to my pre baby weight too (can't be perfect all the time! :rotfl:)
Good luck, lovelies0 -
Hmmmmm so many things I SHOULD be doing but what do I WANT to do!?!
Want to do and should be possible :T
1. Go to the seaside for a week
2. Get front room re-plastered (do need to cut unnecessary spending to achieve this though)
3. Sort out garden fence with neighbour (as above)
4. Hopefully do National Trust Volunteer Leader Training - if I am selected
5. Help to run a NT holiday
6. Do my best to keep my mental health stable without taking medication
Now for the ones I need to address but won't definitely succeed at so they should be classed as NY hopes
1. Get fitter and drop a few dress sizes
2. Stop using credit card for silly things and aim to halve balance by Sept 2017
3. Cut down on alcohol consumption
4. Join a yoga class or similar AND go regularly
5. Stop buying Chinese when I am depressed! I AM A GOOD COOK!
I might think of some more and add them :rotfl:it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0
