Pure aluminium or copper pans will not heat up unless the base is bonded with a magnetic metal.
think the issue may be your pans.....

Even where it is bonded to magnetic material the efficiency will be greatly reduced, because the copper layer adds a gap between the hob and magetic material (about 2.5 mm on high quality pans).

The only practical reason copper is used is to aid conduction of heat from the hob to the pan, so they are designed to go on traditional gas and electric hobs, not induction hobs.

I'd love an induction hob but the clearance between the hob and the oven underneath wasn't big enough. I had to have ordinary electric. Still look good but not the same thing at all.
