Evening all. I'm glad today is over although, as funerals go, it was a lovely funeral. The minister knew Kathleen well and spoke highly of her. The lay preacher likewise. He first met her when she was 19 and he was a baby! They ended up lifelong friends and he had many amusing stories to tell which lightened the service, The lunch afterwards was delicious and enjoyed by all. Being in the company of so many Methodists there weren't many drinks about but I did manage to sneak myself a large wine back from the bar! Mr TA was driving so he had to stick to coffee!

We called at BIL's on the way home as planned and spent a pleasant couple of hours with them. We have arranged to meet them Christmas Eve lunchtime in town, as we do every year, for a bite to eat and a drink or two.

Going to get my feet up now and scour through all the rubbish on tv and try and find something worth watching! I have all the candles and tea lights burning and everywhere looks so cosy and festive. I think I'm beginning to get the Christmassy feeling at last!

Have a nice evening all xx

Oh good grief; fancy mucking you about like that, at a time of year when you need to be well organised! Though I suspect you'vebreathed a sigh of relief that the Small Screaming Thing won't be staying with you....:D

You have NO IDEA:rotfl: Actually, you probably do. I get severe anxiety around them. Last year I had to walk Ozzie twice and they were only here for 4hrs. This year it's 4days over Xmas (and one more added screamer since then) and I don't have an Ozzie sized excuse.

I have running shoes and the details of the nearest AA meetings (unfortunately :D over an hours drive away:D) so I will be out of the house for a number of hours on Xmas Eve and Boxing Day. I don't think I'll get away with it on Xmas day. I have a wedge for the door though - the 4 yr old apparently likes any bed other than her own. She'll be forcibly evicted if she tries mine. And BREATH:eek:

Actually, New Year will now be a pleasure.:T

FBO Lying in bed just now, something occurred to me that I heard some years ago, and might give you a giggle - so I had to get up, switch the pc on and post, as I'll have forgotten by the morning.

An alimentary canal with far too many decibels at one end, and no sense of social responsibility at the other. :rotfl:

And on that note, I shall bid you a fond Good Night! :o
