Good morning everyone :hello:
Thoughts are with Bowie and his family today xxx

We are having the grandchildren again today as their mum has therapy this morning. They ended up coming over yesterday after all so they had a great time playing with cardboard and sticky tape. My house now boasts a huge box troll in the living room and a cardboard sandwich which my grandson insisted on hanging on the Christmas tree :rotfl::rotfl:. I am looking forward to seeing what they create today.

The girls are all fast asleep as it is the first day of their holidays. The grandkids are coming at about 9.30 so I will let them lie in till then. Hubby finishes on Friday afternoon and then he will have 16 days off so he is very happy.

Tea tonight is going to be sticky lemon chicken and noodles or rice. I have even remembered to take the chicken breasts out to defrost so that is a good start :).

Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Morning all,

Quick one from me as we are running a bit late, I have the hairdressers (my most dreaded thing) this morning and need to leave by 9, I only go about once every 2 years as I hate it so much I would rather go to the dentist !!

Once we have finished we are going to John lewis for a look round and will have a coffee and cake in there, I also need to pop into home sense and pick up some candles and look at the cutlery. Should be home by lunchtime for an afternoon film :D

Got my sisters dog here for the week while they are in Venice he is a sweet little thing but gets upset when they are away and wont eat (this is on top of various health problems) so I need to keep an eye on him and try and get him to eat something.

Fajhitas for dinner tonight nice and easy

Have good days all xx

Hugs to Bowie, safe trip lovely boy xx
• Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

We did go to the carol service last night, doubt if we will go again, the lay pastor gave 2 talks between the carols both of them lasting 40 minutes and I did not understand a word he said.

Sheets etc in the washer it looks very damp so I guess they will be going in the dryer. Its very dank this morning.

Monday clean to do, bed to make etc. OH is complaining about his belly. Its a good job I learnt the heimlich manouvre, he choked on a piece of potato if all things at lunch time yesterday. I am really sick of it all. I have told him to go to the Drs again, he does it at least once a week

No new of ex, my eldest daughter and grand daughter will go to his house this morning and try to clean up, good luck, they will need it!!

Off to get going on my day.................

• Good morning everyone,

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

I was kept busy seeing various friends and family which was nice, however it meant a few spendy days. Needs must.

Back to work this week but should be kept busy with prep work for the year ahead. Feels good to be organised. Playing football tonight with the work guys so a bit of team building too.

camelot - even I feel relieved your kitchen is nearly finished. Hope you have many happy memories and plenty of good food and drink in your new kitchen :)
TA - All the best today.
Jackie - So sorry to just hear of the news. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better and hopefully the appetite comes back in time for the wedding.
• Good Afternoon OSers!
Plodding through the last week at work before Christmas, we finish on friday and then back on 3rd Jan, so a nice little break with the family.
Almost finished with the shopping, just need a few food bits and a bottle (or 4) of prosecco for celebrations.
House hunting come the new year so enjoying the last chance to treat us before diving head first into my OS ways again.

Hope you all have good days, keep warm and stay safe!xx

Evening all,

8pm here in Perth, youngest grandchild is doing fine and we are enjoying spending time with her and her besotted parents. Weather is lovely, although the heat is tiring.....Wednesday is to be 40c, so I may spend the day sitting in the bath! Difficult to realise that it is Christmas week, in spite of the lights and Christmas trees.

JackieO, glad that you are recovering from the cold, sorry for you all about Bowie, very tough on everybody.

Csarina, take it easy please.

Wishing you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

I did it! Glasgow by 9.30am, whizzed round JL and out again by 10.20am in time for Popmaster champions league. Got what I wanted and no more. Home by 12.45 just in time to meet the delivery of my wine from Majestic. Happy days.

I'll now line up everything I've bought and try to remember who they are for before wrapping.

JL was very quiet though I expect it's because I was in so early.

Lunch now.

LW I so agree with the dressing gown thing. But I'll just have to grin and bear it. Latest instalment is that NONE of them are coming now. I've given up. I'd love a canine guest though.

Great that the solstice is so soon. That daylight makes all the difference.

I spent 25yrs on various antidepressants. I finally got free last October. I hope you can battle out soon.
Oh good grief; fancy mucking you about like that, at a time of year when you need to be well organised! Though I suspect you'vebreathed a sigh of relief that the Small Screaming Thing won't be staying with you....:D
Re anti-d's - I've been on them for 44 years now, and I accept that I'll have to take them for the rest of my life; it's just a couple more tablets amongst the many I take for RA and lupus, so not really a big deal. Unfortunately I have always found talking therapies to be counter-productive, so tablets is the way to go for me.

Scampi was given a cone but he hates it – it's another thing that makes him feel trapped and he started to panic. I took it off and he mostly left his leg alone so we haven't had to use it thankfully. I had a hard time taking his bandage off yesterday, he hates his paws being touched. I cut the top, unwound it a bit then left him to it. He led under the coffee table, pulled the rest off himself and spent a while licking his paw. It seems fine but I'm still going to keep walks very short (5-10 minutes, four or five times a day) and not let him run around for a couple of days.
Aww, bless him; Ted (who stayed with me last weekend) has a Cone of Shame to wear at night, as he scratches at his ears otherwise.

I have the same thing whenever Ronnie stays; his Mum always sends some little bags of frozen beef and chicken, to tempt him and get him going with his tinned food, and I spend ages sitting on the floor with him, encouraging him to eat. Sending appetite vibes for your sister's wee doggie.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
