Which websites on my new phone?
Thanks to help received from on here I have just bought a Nokia 6300 which I love. It's with T-Mobile and they are giving me 10 days' free web access. I don't know if I'll use the web access much but I thought it might be a good idea to have a serious "test drive" while it's free. I can then decide what it's worth spending on in future.
Please can anyone suggest good sites for me to bookmark? The sorts of sites I would like to check out are news, sports, mobile maps/directions, directory enquiries etc. I don't know if some of these are even possible. Thanks for any help.

I would suggest you try what you would on a desktop PC - many 'big name' websites will give you a trimmed version designed for mobiles. So check them out - e.g. BBC
Also, if you can, go to www.opera.com and install their Opera-mini browser which will make for a quicker and better experience on the 6300 (since it doesn't have 3G thedownloads will be slower and Opera accelerates these using compression). The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

You should have Opera Mini already on the phone.

Opera Mini
As Sid Harper said, many websites have a mobile version to browse from your phone. If you're on Yahoo Mail or Google Mail they have good mobile sites (if you're on Google Mail you can also download an email app which is quite nifty). Using Opera Mini you can view a lot of the full web that you'd browse on your computer. BBC, Wikipedia, MSE, plus loads others work very well in Opera. If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.0 -
