  • I think calling the police is just not dealing with it seriously enough. What he should really have done was call the UN and tried to get a binding resolution against this woman, so that NATO could act.

Honestly some of the advice in this thread is hilarious! You'd think this person had committed murder instead of confessing to having the hots for someone!

Give the poor woman a break, and just let it pass. My guess is she'll probably never mention it again and carry on as before.

However, if she keeps on with it, do the UN thing.

NOT a police matter (even if genders were reversed) The person would have to be really quite persistent and physical for that. Are we now calling the police very time someone inappropriately declares they have the hots for someone?? Come on.

IMO people who say "Call the police" are people who are just !!!!ed because nobody hits on them, so lets try to ruin their life by trying to get them a criminal record because they got drunk and declared their lust.

It's mad but this is the reason why you MUST vet people in your place of work, STAY AWAY from the trigger happy and ready-to-be-offended types, DONT socialise or discuss anything but work with those people, they are not worth the hassle.

Not having a pop at anybody here, this is just my personal thoughts on people who always want to blow things out of proportion. Half the people at my place would be banged up by now if everyone was like this. Fortunately we handle things ourselves.
  • She will probably be totally embarrassed and ashamed once she is sober and she may not even remember all that was said! If you had no clue for the last 3 years sounds it sounds like a drunken outburst rather than anything more troublesome. I'd just carry on like normal.

Same where I work, the conversations going on in my office and the things that get said and done on nights out would see many lives ruined if some of the advice on this website was followed. I am just glad I work in the real world with well rounded people who understand that sometimes when alcohol is added to the mix strange things can and do happen.

Blimey this has escalated insanely. Mistakes were made, there's no reason why they need to affect the workplace at all. I assume she's a competent manager if she's been there for 3 years, so keep her unless things get complex in the new year.

No need to mention anything, just get on with work. If she never mentions anything again, there's no issue. If she does, then that's the time to address it with a quick word *in work*.

OP's manager probably woke up guilty, told her husband it was OP who kissed/groped her, manager's boyfriend has then hospitalised OP in a fit of rage and now police will be detaining OP pending trial for alledged sexual assault.

I'm just shooting the breeze though
