Miss D Meanour, I feel your pain. I sprained my ankle a couple of weeks ago, every step is hurting, so heels are a no-no.
Today I have taken delivery of new pair of running shoes for £18.99. Used the offer from the MSE email this week, they would have been £43.99 with postage.
I will run a 10k when I'm better!Spend less now, work less later.0 -
"Ouch!" For the ankle Jazee, be gentle with it and it's recovery.
It's amazing how easy it is to do damage to our joints and how difficult it is for the them to heal, because we have to keep using them. Good luck with your recovery. Also congrats on taking advantage of that MSE opportunity.

Hi everyone - just been reading through (only the last page admittedly!) and want to throw my hat in
I have a budget of £250 and from this I want to replace a pair of white gold Topaz earrings my oh bought me for my 40th and I kept them almost to the day and woke up one morning with only 1 in
I've found some online that are £31 so not anywhere the expense he paid...
Good to know that matalan do 5 pairs of socks for £3.50 FvD! All of mine are thread bare...
Am currently watching 2 pairs of winter boots on fleabay one is £6.50 with £4.50 postage (preferred pair) and another is £9.99 but in my home town so I could collect. My current ones are embarrassingly tatty!
I'm currently 1/2 way through a challenge I set myself to not buy anything new for a year so £250 will be plenty I guess. I actually did this challenge in 2010 when we were clearing our debt at a rate of knots and I set myself a £100 challenge and came in a few £s under that :T I think there was me and someone else who came in on target that yearI find it hard to believe that was so long ago!

Wombling 2025: £87.12

Trying to convince myself I don't need a new running top...I have one that I wear that's a quick dry stay warm one so I don't really need another, it would be a nice to have.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Delayed in reporting my first spend, which was a work dress at £44 (a nice sale find as it was reduced from £149). I absolutely love it, it's woollen and fits like a glove - I've already worn it three times so definitely worth it!
I managed to avoid all other temptations, although I did look longingly at the Whistles sale. A steely reserve kicked in before I found myself in the changing rooms0 -

A good tip to avoid changing rooms is wear something that is a total PITA to get changed in / out of ..that way you have to really love something to want to bother to try it onFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I've just finished loom knitting a shrug top (first item I've ever knit). I'm hoping to progress to knitting some tunic tops to replace old ones in my wardrobe that have seen better days.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0
