Is anyone else having problems with the latest (almost 1Gb) Win 10 update ?
I have tried Windows update and it froze at less than 5%
I have downloaded the cumulative update from MS and it is not exactly installing fast either...........
I pity those with a slow / ADSL connection and a slower PC

Took 4 attempts to install on a friend's computer. Prefers manual install.

Was that the one that took 40 mins to restart my PC yesterday?

Installed fine for me (albeit on the 16th as my laptop had been off for a few days).
  • No problems, several machines upgraded flawlessly.

Microsoft are experimenting with a new way to send updates in the Fast-ring updates, which should mean smaller updates in the future to normal users.

So the +/-1Gb patches should be a thing of the past in the next Major Win10 refresh next year.
