  • I traded in loads of blu rays last week, never used for bank details.

    I was asked if i had ID for an account, which I set up and asked if want it in cash or store credit.

    Yes, as already stated by "preable" (last Christmas Eve)

    the stores offer to pay direct into the Bank only if they are short of ready cash. If they've bought far more than they've sold that particular day it's easy to see how this situation might occur.

    Anyone not keen to give Bank details would be better advised to simply try another day.

    Yes, CEX it's absolutely legal. Maybe they want to transfer you a reward, who knows. But not to break you, for sure.
